Yeah, my mom is in the Tri Cities also.

Don't get up here nearly as much as I should. Older I get the harder that 900 mile drive gets and the airline connections into TRI really suck.

Chilling at home watching Syracuse make us look good. Yeah, it's Colgate, but they're beating them like they should.

Costco run in the morning, back home in time for kickoff at 12:30 out here in Oregon. Go Vols!

I’m not as hyped for this game as I was last weekend because of the tragic events that have transpired this past week. I’m sad ya’ll. I’m about to go pick my daughter up from work, hit the drive-thru and call it a night probably. That said, I’ll be up to watch game day and cheer on the Vols. A win would perk me up, but I’ll believe it when I see it. 😅

YES...mine is right at 500 from West of Indy.
The flights into TRI "inter continental nation wide imternational" are rough. Last time we flew it was Indy to Atlanta to Charlotte to TRI...ugggglllleeeee

I'm right there with you. Horrible to see something like that happen in our country. Scary to think of how it could lead to even more craziness. I wish I felt more confident that things will change for the better.

Yup. Maybe 10-15 years ago there was a direct flight in the morning-about 10 am from Chicago to Tri. Could take the 7 am flight from Dallas to Chicago then walk around OHare for an hour and be into TRI by 11:30 or so local time. Was perfect. Then they did away with it lol.

There are direct flights from DFW into Knoxville 3-4 times a day but then I have to deal with a car rental. I should really look into buying a junker and leaving it parked at someone's house near the airport or something.

Didn't think about driving to Indy (45 mims) and hoping on Amtrack to OHare (guessing about 3hrs) then direct to TRI...have to look into that.

Unless they started doing it again AA cxl'ed the route about 10 years ago.

Considering the population influx into that area I'm really hoping TRI picks up some more direct flights

Well crap...guess ill keep doing the 9ish hour drive and layover in London, KY.
Good part is The Limestone Grill does real honest to goodness fried green tomatoes.
