Also I went to check out Vandymania and one poster said Al Golden should be on the list... So the guy who interviews for PSU and chooses to stay at Miami will want to be interviewed for Vandy lol

They were smart enough to go interim with Robbie C. My guess is they'll either make an unexpectedly solid hire in the next few days or they'll hire an interim head coach. They can't afford to bring somebody up from the SoCon at this point.

Johnson quit on July 14th. That's why they went interim in 2010.

The timing isn't great right now, but Vandy will not be plugging in an interim this time.

So now we have a mix of VandyManiacs either still in heavy denial, holding out until the "official" announcement, or they're turning on Franklin big time. They're talking about how some of the players are royally po'ed.

If he leaves and we don't retain anyone on staff, the following would be a few names to look at: David Shaw, Mike Bobo, Kirby Smart, Willie Taggart, Curtis Johnson.

This is hilarious, but I guess we were throwing out big names last year, too

I honestly think he will do good up there. It kills me to see vol fans not think he is a good coach. Even with the weaker schedule, bowl games a few years in a row and 3 nine win seasons at Vandy? He is a great coach.

I think he's a good coach; I just don't think he's the second coming of Knute Rockne like the 104.5 FM guys act like.
