Frank wilson & A&M question

I think F. Wilson could be the next coach at UT go ahead ... blast me. I would like to hear some realistic options. can we all agree manning/gruden dreams are fantasy. And chip kelly? If we really pony up and could land chip kelly i will be beside myseld in disbelief/shock. Also i heard A&M is prepared for 30mil buyout of sumlin and going blank check for james franklin... when franklin says no i think c kelly would be next on their list.

For Tennessee it won't be frank Wilson.

As for your A&M prediction. I read a story a couple weeks ago. The PSU admin already getting everything prepared for a huge push by A&M. They are willing to make a counter to anything A&M provides.

I think Franklin will be wooed by A&M but he will stay. I also think this will leave Them with no chance at Chip. Chip will be grabbed up quickly and will be someone's first choice.

Also if Sumlin continues to win he may stay.

Well i think chip kelly isnt going to take the first offer he sees. its going to be a holdout/bidding war and if A&M is in i think we lose. And end up going home (as some have said go big) and then we are looking at Frank Wilsons of the world. Not trying to knock Frank, i think he would be a good fit for us.

You sure about that? I have some peeps saying alums oil $ isnt blinking at the 30mil buyout... did you notice their shiny new $450 mil $ field? Maybe u missed that of saban could be bought they would have him

Any blasting won't come from me. He is suppose to be a solid coach, but how often do we get to see UTSA play? I am sure there are other guys I am not really aware of, but those aren't names the masses want to hear.

As to Chip Kelly, I read an article that mentioned he left Oregon to avoid a show cause investigation over recruiting. And if someone with accusation like is considered to be employed by ANY SEC program, the university brass has to personally meet with Sankey per a new rule recently adopted by the conference. Therefore, I see Kelly, Kiffin and Petrino being coaches with an additional road block to become SEC coaches. If you can see anyone from Tennessee's administration sticking out their necks for any of those three, hold out hope for them. I don't.

James Franklin to A&M? Hell, who knows? I am not sure they will fire Sumlin yet. But I feel they will avoid Kelly for the same reasons we do.

Why in the world would anyone think Franklin would leave PSU.
He is a Pennsylvania native with great in state talent to recruit and he only has to play a few tough games per year.

As far as $ PSU can match anyone who comes calling.

Maybe. Aggies still have Auburn at home and at LSU. If they were to lose both those games and finish 8-4, same as they've finished the previous 3 years with late season collapses, he won't be back. Their AD pretty much put Sumlin on the hotseat in preseason. He alluded that he needs to improve on the continuous 8-5 finishes after 5-0 starts, which would mean Sumlin would have to improve on that. Those 2 games could go either way. I can't see him surviving another 8-win regular season.

If Georgia blows Florida out, then there might be another opening possibly. LSU, Auburn, Ole Miss as well.

Just curious what y’alls thoughts are on Mike Houston at James Madison. He has won everywhere he has coached including a National Championship last year.

What ever article you read had an ignorant author. The NCAA changed the rules. The only reason Chip got the show cause was because he left. If Chip had stayed he would have gotten nothing. The writer needs to keep up with the times.

Frank Wilson has done no more to deserve this job than Butch Jones, so NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Franklin is established at PSU...don't believe he'll leave...come on, would you...I don't want Frank...heck, to me, if we really are just going for someone like Frank Wilson, just put a bunch of names in a hat and pull one and go with that...it would make as much sense...lot's of talented coaches out there...Frank is just another small fish in a big pond...:)

Yes, i am serious. I want him. I think he is exactly right. He knows how to coach and he knows how to recruit.
