Haha just like those monster truck shows at TBA. I always wondered how that worked. But I want to see the mythical game at Bristol. It would be great and I don't think UT would lose money on it.

The problem with your math is that when this game was offered, the ticket prices at Neyland were much less than $45. It was several years ago. I do not know the exact year, nor the excat ticket prices at the time. I would have to think that a new offer, perhaps unlikely, would be adjusted for the current dollar value.

You're right...like I said...rough numbers. But I was in college at ETSU at the time so it had to have been around 2002. Not a big price difference from then, maybe $5 for big games. Also, do you honestly think they will have everyone show up 4 to a car with parking? Or that everyone will ONLY buy one coke? Not hot dogs? No nachos or pizza? And what about souvenirs such as t-shirts, etc.? Even with a lower ticket price, they would still have stood to make more than the figure I estimated.

I have every ticket stub for each UT game I attended, and my 2002 Alabama one has $38.00 on it. So $7 x 109,000 = $763,000, a fair difference. It is customary for the contestants in an event such as this to get a percentage of concessions, and to have souvenir sales so the University would have come out well ahead. I think it safe to say that souvenirs would outsell a normal home game. Remember, there would be no gameday expenses such as wages, electricity, water, clean up, security, etc.

I think it holds 165,000. Maybe in-field included. It would be fun if it happened. Would you be able to drink a cold one at the game if it happened?

i heard that when it would be set up for a football game they would have bleachers on the track and the capacity would be over 200,000 more than likely most of them would be in orange...can you imagine:crossfingers:
