Frank Anderson still being linked to Giants openings

He was handpicked by Tony to replace Frank when he retired so IMO he is pretty high level.

This. If Tony never left and chose to replace Frank (when he retired) with Josh Reynolds , we'd just assume he had spun gold. When Elander does it a year or two ahead of schedule, it gets questioned. It is no coincidence that these hires are taking place in less than 24 hours to replace guys.

I would have never criticized Frank while he was here because there was no doubt he was a great coach and won a lot of games for us but now that he is gone I hope there is a change in philosophy in holding runners on base. I know he didn't think it was important but it would drive me nuts when we would give up 4-5 stolen bases per game.
