Four Vols on All-Fresh SEC Team

I believe if someone thinks they didnt deserve it, they should go back and look at how many true freshmen have ever started on the OL at UT. This is a position that no matter the experience, they need more physical development than a high school senior or college freshman will have to start in the SEC. Most o-linemen don't start until they are sopomores or juniors because they need this development. We will have guys that have experience when they become physically ready for the position. The coaches obviously also disagree with your assessment.

This list is pathetic. You don't put Bray in there and he was player of the week in the SEC a couple of weeks. Seriously? Burn the list and move on.

Great point. Bray had 3 of 4 games started with over 300 yards, Murray had 1, plus Bray was SEC freshman of the week twice. Murray threw 24 TDs in 12 games, Bray threw 14 in 5. Murray was 1-3 in his first 4 starts, Bray is 4-0. Sure, Murray started every game at Georgia behind the most experienced O-Line in the SEC, but play for play Bray was better.:good!:

Am I the only one shocked Propst was selected? Not to say he will not be a good player and was solid on special teams, but I didn't see this one coming. I don't see how he got picked over Brewer. I might even put Corey Miller in front of him.

So your saying jawauan was the burden to the o line this year and dosnt deserve the Frosh all sec??

I was simply saying that for as poor as our o-line play was this season I was surprised to see any of them named to any all-conference team.

They are FRESHMEN dude...with FRESHMEN bodies....with FRESHMEN experience and they still had a first-year starting RB with 1000yds running behind them. Do you not yet understand what a HUGE accomplishment it has been for them to do as well as they have ???
You need a reality check more than just about anyone on this board.

I was shocked as well, but I imagine this is the answer: how many schools have freshmen playing meaningful minutes at MLB? Propst did well behind Reveiz.

In your next post are you going to say he gave up zero? The number seems to be shrinking with each post.

Yeah just got off the phone with coaching staff since i have inside scoop he gave up 2 all year so i stand corrected from the 1 sack just pissed by your default comment... this o line will be the best in the SEC within the next 1.5 years...

Care to provide a link for where you found this stat? If so, I'll happily retract my statement. If he really only gave up 2 sacks then I suppose the other 4 on the o-line bear the majority of the burden for it's crappy play this season.

Dude did you play the game... do you wish you played...... get your facts right......... then again your a blogger with an opinion not a fact

Sad when UT is happy with 4 All-Frosh...and FLA,Bama, and Ark have just as many as UT...........and UT can not compete with those teams. I do understand that UT has alot of sophs and Jrs that play alot...but the teams WAYYYYYYYYY ahead of UT, has just as many great Frosh!..and recruit better!

Long road to walk to get back to SEC elite!

the teams ahead didn't play as many true freshmen as UT did. The freshmen at the other schools you mentioned also had the benefit of veterans starting next to them while the ones at UT did not

Point was....Those teams had just as many on the All-Frosh team! They recruit better than UT..... That scares me!

Where the hell is Tyler Bray?

Got left off for Murray. Don't worry he will get his the next 2 to 3 years. Tyler's SEC OPY Award will look real nice come his Jr. or Sr. year and Murray can always reminisce on his SEC Freshmen Team award..:loco:

The only upperclassmen to see significant playing time were the worst OL on the field.

Shaw was Godawful and Pope was mediocre.

The OL was better the younger they were.
