You could argue that it would have been better for us to have been pinned in the end zone and had a safety so that we could get the free kick from the 20. After we punted from the end zone, they hit a 40 yard TD pass. So instead of giving up 2 and punting from the 20, we gave up 7.

I think it’s a stretch to say Hooker “usually” makes them. Overthrows have been an issue this year. Just hasn’t cost us games until now.

You’re exactly right and that’s a testament to Heupel and his coaching ability. I know that ESPN wants to make their article sound like we were just dominated but there are a few major moments that defined this game. It wasn’t a 63-3 beat down.

Mehhh..it doesn't quite work like that. Georgia changed their gameplan to be ultra conservative and run clock in the 2nd half because they were up. Until that point we really hadn't stopped them much. There is no knowing how the game would have changed had we been able to score on offense.

I know it was a long shot, but with 4 minutes left 1st down on 10 yard line….if we score and then get the onside kick we do what Florida almost did to us.
