Four More Years

So Barack Obama just got reelected. The country is in terrible shape, but we decided to give him another four years to try to fix it. But here yall are calling for Derek Dooley to be fired and year 2 (yeah, 2010 was year 0) isn't even over yet! What do you think is easier, fixing a football program that was left in chaos or the best country in the world? Dooley deserves more time and I'm here to tell you why.

First off, recruiting. We have done really well in Georgia, the state that a lot of our players in the 90s come from. We just got a really solid under the rader guy yesterday that will help us out immedieately. And everybody remembers when we snagged a five star stud WR right out of Mark Richts hands. Plus we got Brian Randolph and AJ Johnson. The roster in general is way better, especially on the DLine. We also got a bunch of DBs so we'll be ok when PWagg graduates.

Second, we've got the endorsement of coaches. Nick Saban and Will Muchsamp both have said he is doing a good job. these guys are runing top 5 teams! You think we know more about football than they do? Dooley is doing fine, and these guys know it. big time reults will come soon, just wait til our bowl game! Saban knows it takes time. Look at John Wooden at UCLA. He couldn't win achmapionship for over ten years, then he won seven in a row!

Next is the players. they clearly love him and are fired up to play for him. Look how he's gotten Bray to start getting excited and fired up on the field. he's come a long ways since that california cool stuff hwen he was a freshman. And the guys have a lot of character now. No Kiffin thugs like Da'rick!

The offense has gotten better every year and is one of the best in the country this year. we got the wild pig formation which has a passing td against one of the best defenses in the nation. think about what chaney can do with that once he gets another year to get everything perfect. Revolutionizing Vol offense!

The defense is struggling. I admit that. But it's year one with a new DC and a new system! You can't xpect it to be perfect right a way. Things will get a lot better in year 2. Sal is a Saban guy and look what Saban did in year 2... 10-2 record. let that sink in. even with the defense taking a step bakc, we are probbly going to go 7-5, which is 2 gmes improvement. if you include moral victories we are 10-2. Pretty soon these moral victoryes will be actual wins.

Tradition. what's more important thatn tradition in Tennessee? vol navy, pride of the southland, running through the T, Rocky Top maxims, orange... it's evrything. Dooley respects those traditions (unlike the last guy!) Dooley is a VFL and it shows. He's got the pants, he's got the background, and he's the man that came to save back in 2010 when we needed it most. You nkow who could have taken the job but didn't? everyon'es favorite replacement Jon Gruden. So now Gruden wants to come in and win with a bunch of Dooley's players? How is that VFL? And if Gruden came, what's stopping him from leaving again? he already did once, and that was for SW MIssouri St! Dooley did the dirty work to get us back to the top becasue he bleeds orange. Now we need to let him enjoy his successes.

Plus, the man is on crutches. he is going through enough. Let him get back on his feet and coach the 2013 and 2014 seasons. Then we can talk. The Vols will be back and Derek Dooley will get us there!!!!!!!!!!!11

GBO!

If I was Saban or Muschamp, I would go out of my way to say what a great job Dooley is doing too. That is one guaranteed win for each of them every year Dooley stays around.

"We" didn't give obama jack squat. "You" may have voted for that piece of garbage but don't try and lay that train wreck at the feet of conservatives.
And as for Dooley, the one to blame for that is Mike Hamilton. It's time to stop the madness and get a real football coach.

I have a great idea. Since the tree huggers on the west coast and the liberals on the east coast are so much more forgiving of crappy performances by their leaders, I say Dooley should have a chance to coach in any state that Obama won. I know of one state in particular that he didn't win, and it wasn't even close. :)

As far as the racial card that someone played a few posts ago, I haven't seen the first racial statement in this topic. Here is something for you to chew on. I will list below how Whites, Blacks, and Hispanics (in no particular order) voted and let you decide who voted as a racist.

Race A voted 59% Romney; 31% Obama
Race B voted 71% Obama; 29% Romney
Race C voted 93% Obama; 7% Romney
sigh...really?

Dude, I mostly agree. I just wish CDD had taken more interest in the defense earlier in the year, like after the Akron game. We've had some bizarre games and some shoddy luck. We've been in EVERY game this year up 'til the end except for Bama and in one way or another we found a way to lose instead of win. I'm as upset as anyone about the losses but I think next year will be a totally different story if we can get a half way decent defensive coordinator in here. Obviously CSS is not the guy, I think we all can agree on that. I think Dooley will get a break because if I had to bet, I'd bet that Hart himself had a lot to do with bringing CSS in. So if he fired CDD because of shoddy defense, he'd in essence be firing himself.

P.S. I know this is not a political forum but in reference to the OP, POTUS should have been fired this past Tuesday but was not.

I hate to be vague, and no, I don't have a link, but just for whatever it's worth: I talked to a guy yesterday who, in his line of work, has occasional contact with VIPs such as politicians, judges, celebrities, UT bigwigs, and so on. I see him about once a month. I asked him if he thought Dooley would get another year, and he said no, that he talked to a guy who would know, and that Dooley is most likely gone after the season. He said they are going after Gruden, and that Gruden is interested. They are, according to the source, going to offer him a ten year contract worth $50,000,000.

I asked how they would afford this, and he said the money is there, already in place. We shall, see, I guess.

unfortunately I don't concur. year 0 was his best year.

Giving Dooley more time is like giving Obama who achieved nothing, 4 more years

Obama & Dooleys theme should be, "Backwards"

Facts are facts.

If Obama were white, his body of work would have got him ran out of office.

Yea just like Bush who did way worse was run out. There was no way a lying ,waffling used car salesman like Romney was going to win. The Republican ideology is out dated. Most of the country does not believe in the outdated views of the conservatives.

I'm sorry I didn't know Bush was who he compared. No one has been worse than that. 8 years of damage we are still trying to fix.

Dooley is not a good coach. Plain and simple. We barely beat teams we have much better talent than, and we got clobbered by teams we have as much talent as. That is C-O-A-C-H-I-N-G. And Dooley isn't good at it. 0-15 against ranked opponents speaks for itself.

give it up dude, leave both parties & you will see both are corrupted & crooked. Obama is continuing what Bush has done. Both have increased national debt, unemployment, gas prices, inflation of food costs, food stamps, dropping bombs on other countries for no reason in the name of peace. And stop the cop out of Obama has had to do this because of Bush. That is the welfare mentality that has crippled this nation. Nobody wants to take responsibility of anything anymore.

No I am not Republican but am smart enough to see Obama will be worst Prez in American history at the end of his term. He is already surpassing what bush has done in 4 years as to 8.

That doesn't mean all those teams had more talent than we did especially this season. If Dooley gets more years we might not ever be ranked again.

Pretty sure Rivals ranks teams by talent and since Bama was #1 when we played them must have the most talent.
