I suggest you go back and read my first post in this thread and place it in the context of the post I was directly responding to. In no way did I imply or infer that "single" people should be forced to abide by a schedule that works best for parents. If your employer offers a 4-10 workweek and you take it, good for you, but don't get all pissy when your co-worker/drinking buddy who is a parent prefers to stay on the original 5-8.

see what I'm getting at now?

410s are great. My favorite shift off all time was two twelves on the weekends and getting paid for 40 hours. Baylor programs are a thing of the past but were great if you could get them.

Some officals here in ATL are suggesting lowering the speed limit to 55mph to save gas. I laughed when I heard this.

All this would do is increase the number traffic citations, further taxing the people here.

This is a real issue. There are also intangibles of being in a work environment that can't be duplicated at home.

I'm all for flex-work but large scale telecommuting is likely to reduce productivity.

Another trend out there is work space for telecommuters - a place where TC's who don't work together, come together to work (on their own stuff) for socialization and productivity purposes. It's a big, crazy world out there.

I actually know a lady who rents out space for just that use. She rents cube space in a large office and evidently makes a good living off it.

Some of us don't even get to work the traditional 5 day work week. Working in sports has it's advantages, but the traditional 8-5 workweek or even better a 4 day workweek are never going to happen for some of us. During seasons, I'm lucky if I somehow get two days off a week.

i worked at a race track back in the day and had to work weds-sun. really sucked during football season.
