Was fortunate to get quite a few things signed by him during his college days and the auto seems pretty far off to me also although we met several times he never personalized any thing he signed for me but I hope I am wrong.

well i did find this and to me it looks exactly the same as my autographs... it's the ticket stub from the 1997 ole miss game with peytons gold signature on it. it looks very similar to my autographs i have pictured.

if that dont mean that the ones i have are real then the university had a student or ga do all of peytons stuff for him.

How did he have time to play football if he hand-signed 102,000 or so game tickets? LOL. Just kidding.:eek:lol:

The one on your ticket looks legit, but I'm sure it's facsimile right?

The ones on the other items look labored. Looks like someone tried really hard to make the signature look real, and they did a pretty good job of it, but the line at the end of manning is over-exaggerated.

Now, i'm not an "expert", but I've been in the sports card and memorabilia collecting hobby for about 10 years, and I've never seen peyton's auto look like that.

He rarely signs his name linearly, it's always Peyton on top and Manning aligned with the stem of the P in peyton.

As far as my knowledge goes back, this is how he's always signed...

I honestly hope that these items are authentic, because I have seen very few things signed while he was in College, and they are great bragging rights collectors items.

Good luck bro

Not even good fakes....Those are absolutely horrible....Peyton's signature has always been consistent...Tenmanjonez example is the exact way he has always signed his name.

I agree with this. I have a pic that was signed for me in person while at UT and mine looks like his modern signature. Good luck. I hope they are authentic

unless you are SDHJR then I suspect you are telling a big fat one. Every Photo you have posted are copyrighted. Sad thing to claim if not yours....I would change this from I took to I found.

Is that you OJ?

I have a UT mini helmet signed by Manning and it looks like the sig tenmanjonez posted. But even though I've got a COA for it since I didn't see him sign it in person so I don't really know for sure if its real. I'm a collector of signed memorabilia and most items I've seen of Manning look like that.

That's how he signs all of his cards as well. I mailed him 2 cards a few years ago to get signed, accompanied with a donation for the Peyback foundation as well, and he signed them and sent them right back. Now, it COULD have been an auto-pen, but they were personalized and his signature was spot on. He doesn't seem like the type of guy who would take a donation and not show some sort of appreciation.

Anyway, I can't really tell you, OP, if the signatures are legit, because I haven't seen anything authenticated as being a signature in college. It's really hard to get stuff signed by a player in college authenticated because there's no way to attest to the actual authenticity. Joe schmoe could say peyton signed something for him after a kentucky game or something, but joe coulda been out of OTC drugs and decided he needed a quick way to make some money. And since you can't pay a college athlete for signatures, it's very difficult to pin-point a timeframe of signatures... however, ALL I have ever seen is the one posted above.

Not trying to discourage you, just trying to inform you with what I know about the subject OP.

oh well, i guess they are not legit then, as far as being sdhjr yes i am him so the picture i took at the vandy game of peyton leading the band is mine and i own the copyright to it. also i have the autograph envelope the items were mailed to me in from ut and the date on the stamp was 9-17-97 the ole miss game was oct. 4th 97. so who knows. i also tried to get my dad one thru the football office and was told he would only write the names and that his signature would be pre printed.

I will tell you what you do. Write Peyton tell him the story and have him autograph and post it. If you have the copyright then why did you remove the picture. does not make sense, but it is what it is. Peyton will autograph and will not send you a bill for it. also make sure you include a picture for him framed. I would photo shop out the date If I were you and it should be easy to do if you have the original digital print. Great photo. Still not sure about the game.

disregard the removal part it popped back up.

This picture you have posted is not the Vandy game well it could be but who cares at this point.

just mail him a copy. keep the Copyright on their and ask him to sign it. Bet he sends it back signed at no charge.

peyton manning signs side by side on his website, so to say he has never done that is not true unless he signed below and they photoshopped it side by side....
