As proud as I am watching Arian Foster yesterday I am just as disappointed in the actions of Albert Haynesworth. Watching him play last night was like watching a kid not get his way. I really wish he would man up and start earning the leadership money he is making! What a baby!

At his best Haynesworth isn't worth the money he's being paid. I mean really, $100,000,000? thats alot of zeros for a D-lineman's contract.

Actually, I wish they'd trade him to the Colts first, then he could man up and help us out. We need it.

"We" meaning 'Colts' fans', if that helps you to comprehend a three word sentence.

I love Peyton as much as anyone, but I don't get all of the Colts fans because of Peyton stuff. Arian played for four years at UT as well, why not become a bandwagon Texans fan now?

Actually, I do root for former Vols to do well in the NFL.

I don't think Arian's time at UT was comparable to Peyton's.

The irony of professional sports is not that fans are loyal to players, it's that most teams are too poorly managed to realize it.

I just don't get how someone could just "start" being a fan of a pro team that they didn't grow up rooting for because one of our players is on the team. We have SO many NFL players and I think it slights each and every one of them to root for the Colts only because of Peyton. Are you going to change teams when he retires??

but you should suddenly become a fan when they move into your state? Please, this argument is tired. NFL fans outside of the team's city are pretty random

I'm actually watching the Chiefs tonight with hopes of seeing Eric Berry tag somebody as he has been doing during the preseason and throughout his time on the Hill.

I have a Peyton UT jersey hanging up in my UT room pj. I don't root for the Titans either. I root for the team that I grew up cheering for, the Pittsburgh Steelers. If my cousin, who is a junior in high school and a D-1 lock for football decides to go to Alabama, I will STILL be a Vol and will hope we kick their @@s.

after watching that whole game yesterday, they need more help than just him to get that run defense working better

....also I'm sort of thinking the Colts coaching staff wouldn't be too keen on going afte a guy who's been having so many recent character issues clashing with his coaching staff/authority. From the little I know about Jim Caldwell, it doesn't seem like something he'd want.

If you don't live in Pittsburgh or have some other tie to the Steelers' organization, and you started this 'bandwagon' accusation of others, you've dug yourself a bit of a hole, imo.

I was born and raised in Pittsburgh and then was fortunate enough to attend the best university in the world, the University of Tennessee.

Haynesworth isnt fit to hold Arians jock strap after a game, let alone be in the same sentence. one , Arian is a stud, and the other a tremendous dud.

There's a lot of truth to the second statement. I'm not sure how much of it is Haynesworth and how much of it is his past coaches.

The man can play the game. And, the Colts run D looked like it did against the Dolphins last year.

But, I doubt they'd take him for the reasons you noted. He wasn't exactly helping his case on the sidelines yesterday, imo.

That's great. Have you had the opportunity to meet anyone outside Pittsburgh? Anyone from a state that doesn't have an NFL team? Anyone from a state that is mostly centered on the college game?

For example, have you met anyone from Tennessee who knew the Titans as the Oilers?

well, if you didn't follow football at all before said team got there (say, you were too young), and your family taking you to a game or two there for your first NFL game was what got you into watching the sport regularly (say you were also part of a historical event as well)......or just something along the lines of they were what got you watching the sport regularly, it would seem like that should be fine, shouldn't it?

it's really whatever team you just develop your personal repetoire with

Not trying to be argumentative utmba, just have never gotten the "Colts" thing. I am always trying to learn the mentality of sports fans. If the Colts were playing anyone other than the Steelers and the other team didn't have any former UT players, I'd then root for the Colts. Otherwise, I don't get it.

The last statement is a great summary of what I think so many managers of professional teams simply don't get. They're far too willing to trade players to whom their fans are loyal... and that loyalty often develops prior to the players association with the team.

For me, in football, that association starts while they are Vols.

I don't need to apologize to someone for Pittsburgh for not having been stuck in that godforsaken city as a child. :p

I'd honestly have to say wait another game before we can figure out how good/bad the Colts run D is. While they weren't able to stop the Texans run in the 2nd half, there were also some massive holes being opened up by that offensive line. It might possibly be that the Texans oline is that good this year.

What also needs to be paid attention to is how often manning keeps getting pressured/hit like that and that often in the upcoming games.....after a certain number of those, he was down on the ground for a bit in either the 3rd or 4th; last thing the Colts would want or need is for him to get hurt due to poor pass rush protections

I don't give a crap for pro ball or any of the teams. I root for my fantasy players and Vols above all other. Next team that plays someone from my alma mater will be my favorite. That help?

Good to see that you are still using that retarded arguement.

Pittsburgh has some of the hardest working and loyal people that you'll ever find. I doubt you've ever even been there or have any real knowledge of what you speak.
