i'd love to see what hardesty could if they would give him the ball 20-25 times in a game. but that's not gonna happen anytime soon.

Considering over the last 2 games they have equal fumbling numbers and Foster has more receiving yards and better ypc, I'd say he has to do more.

Irrelevant stat comparison. Foster has 2 fumbles (one with Florida, one with Auburn - regardless of who they say the fumble was caused by its Foster's responsibility to HOLD the ball.)

How many games has hardesty lost due to his fumbles? Hardesty's fumble in the Florida game was a result of an Immediate, blind-sided, hard hit by a defender. I can forgive him for this. (i would forgive Foster too if his fumbles were because of similar hits) His fumble turned into 3 points for Florida

Foster - His fumble against Florida was a result of poor ball handling. Yes he was being tackled...but he did not secure the ball. It cost Tenn 7 points.
The Auburn game - was never touched by a defender - simply did not grab the ball - INSTANTLY gave Auburn 7 points - and ultimately the game....again.....

that's right, travis henry. sorry had a brain cramp. sarcastic or not i believe it is something he wants to be known for. 1 and 2 on the rushing list. plus arian has been his guy no matter what.

I'd say he'd prefer being known for winning games. Fulmer coached #2, as well.

It's a non-issue. Creer, Hardesy, and maybe Poole will get to show what they can do against NIU.

i agree, crompton never really looked it in and just stuck it at foster but foster didn't do much to help either.

I've gone back and looked at it and they are certainly both at fault. They are not on the same page. Foster should have given him a bigger "basket" and Crompton was late getting there and tried to stuff it in.

...I have supported Foster throughout his career and was pleased he returned (although Iseriously doubted he was that high on NFL coaches "must have" list).

However, Hardesty has earned a shot at most of the carries. He runs north and south. Use all 3, keep them fresh, and eager to succeed, but start Hardesty.

If he pans out just think, bama hasn't seen him! Sorry sore point!

Anyone can see that Hardesty and/or Creer are better options at this point. Fulmer playing favorites again.

its just to help him get his yards and get him closer to the record. no one in there right mind can think he's the best option we have at running back.

Seriously. However, I think CPF should retract his statement that "we aren't stupid." This act alone, after Foster has repeatedly fumbled in key situtations and blessed his head coach out face to face on national TV, proves the opposite.

Maybe McFumble hasn't totally been to blame for any loss, but I believe emotion is a huge part of college sports and he's totally took the wind out of the team's sails with more than a few of his mistakes. Plus the backs behind him are, at worst, just as good as McFumble, and are definitely more athletic.

After Foster leaves the 1-2-3 punch of Creer, Hardesty, and Giles will be deadly.

I must be the only guy left in the Foster is an OK back crowd.

No, I'm there with you. I don't see what Foster has done to deserve being benched. The fumble against Fla was not his fault. The fumble against Auburn was not his fault. And he's got a much better ypc avg than Hardesty.

Hardesty's not a bad back. But every run is one of two things:
Run straight
Run straight-spin

Fulmer wanting to bench Foster is a massive defelction away from the real problems on offense. Our rb isn't why our offense sucks. No reason Foster shouldn't be receiving 15 carries a game minumum.

If they insisted on reducing Foster's carries, I'd rather them go to Creer.
