I know a lot of the "dirt", but I wouldn't ever spill it. When Jose Canseco wrote his two books spilling all the "dirt", he has pretty much been black balled in the world of baseball. Apparently he regrets it now. He should've known. It's a code you shouldn't break. Arian wouldn't. So I won't.

Sorry! :)

LOL! I actually contemplated that at one point. But not about UT per se, but just about college athletics from the family's viewpoint. It might make interesting reading, but maybe not to fans so much. I probably wouldn't though.

I'd read it.

Truth is, fans and families have polar opposite views about football, programs, coaches, loyalty, players, expectations, etc. While it may interest you, I don't think fans would agree with many of our personal feelings about a lot that goes on. But...who knows. I always thought there should be a place for high school players and their parents to go for information about the recruitment process, what to ask coaches, etc. They come into your living room completely armed with answers to every and any question you might have. But as a parent, you know so little about the process if you haven't been through it, that you don't know what you should ask or not. We're at a complete disadvantage. I just always thought parents should have more info that ISN'T supplied by the recruiting coaches. Same with the agent process. It can be overwhelming.

If I were you I would write that book. you could take it in any number of directions without throwing anyone under the bus.

I agree totally. I went to a I-AA school originally to play. Very long story short the HC found out what type of person I was and fed me a bunch of BS.

Nobody in my family had ever been through that stuff so I went with what the guy told me... needless to say, he lied about everything and I left the school.

That stuff happens at the lower levels too and there are a million things I would have done different.

That would be the reason it would be such a good read.

Fostermom, you are articulate with your posts, and I am sure I would want to read what you have to say. It would appear there is a need for the type of insight you can provide to the families going through the recruitment experience.

Clay Travis has traveled with the team for the entire year and will write a book about it. It might be required reading for all Vol Fans!! :drive2:

Yes he is. Arian and I have met with him several times over the course of the season because he wanted a player/family perspective for his book. Clay is a great guy and I encouraged him to write it from a more personal for the player perspective rather than from a fan perspective, which Clay admits he is. He got a first hand look from the sidelines and in the locker room all year. He was frustrated with how the season went, like we all were, but I told him it was a huge opportunity to show the human side of a rough season. I'm anxious to see how it goes. Being Fulmer's final season, I think it's a possible gold mine for Clay.

He did pick a hell of a season to write a book

fostermom, I haven't shouted out to you since we were on out way to the Nashville airport on our way to LA. Good to see you again. This season has been so hard for our family; I can only imagine what it has been like for yours. You really should write a book. Arian has been such an enigmatic character in this whole drama. I, personally, would love to find out what it looks like from the other side.

Sounds like a witch hunt that needs to be left alone. No good can come from slinging mud all over the U of T. I can't see anyone who has played and loved the University doing such a thing. In my opinion it is pure lack of CLASS!

I guess you missed the part where she said she would never do that and as for the Travis book....I aint into love stories!

I don't think Clay Travis or Fostermom either one are looking to sling mud.

Clay Travis is a very good, humorous, and original writer. Trashing UT is not his forte.

Fostermom has a perspective from a personal side. She has insights that you won't find in the carefully prepared UT press releases. Would it all be flattering to UT? Probably not. Truth is like that sometimes, it hurts.

I will buy Clay's new book. I would buy Fostermom's, should she ever decide to write one.

You can stick to sugarcoated press releases, and friend of a friend rumors.

all that matters is this is the worst team in UT history and the entire pathetic coaching staff is gone and most of the malcontents will either graduate or be run off when the new sheriff comes to town. there is a brighter day coming back to knoxville very soon and it's called dedication and discipline.
