Don't know if you still visit, haven't seen you here in a while, but if you do; just saw Arian's news conference on his new contract. You should be very proud(and I know you are) of that young man you have raised....:cray:

Arian just signed a contract that will have him and his family set for life. Great story for an undrafted player that worked hard, put in his time as an "underpaid" free agent and now is going to reap his reward. Congrats to Arian Foster (and his family)

I'm going to take a guess here.

I assume this thread is about why anyone would ever name their son Arian or Aryan.

Nope. It's about the people that shunned and berated arian because he fumbled at the wrong times during football games. You could practically taste the venom.

I appreciate the kind words. BTW, I read here several times a week. Can't seem to leave the Volnation.
Congrats to you, because Arian is a classy & fine young man. Imo contract is very much well deserved for his tenacity & hard work. I know you are very proud. Be sure he stays hungry & stays humble because he has the tools & its a blessing because he fits Kubiack zone blocking scheme perfectly! I also stole him in the 14th round in both of my fantasy football drafts in 2010. I went to draft hoping 2 steal him, because i watched him in preseason & seen he had that fire in his eyes to be successful. I started him week 1 in both leagues when he went H.A.M. against the colts. After that performance i locked him in & he was studly the entire season. He carried me in both leagues & actually won me a championship & a nice pre christmas bonus check in 1 of those leagues. :).. Now instead of a fruit basket, Arian can buy you the whole orchard!!! :)

Fostermom,
Congratulations to you and Arian!!!

Don't know if you've met MZTerry here. She's Jason Croom's mom, but she's following your footsteps here on VN. Jason is a new WR coming to UT this fall. She posts in the recruiting forum a lot, but will probably be watching the main board when some give Jason a hard time for a dropped pass, or whatever. Don't know if you ever share insights on how to deal with the passion of Vols fans when it gets the best of us or not.

In any case, I'm pretty sure MZTerry will be addicted to VN for years to come as well.

Try not to spend all of your bonus in one place. :hi:

Best part about AF is that he never once held out.. even though he was getting paid the league minimum (despite being a top three back)Carried his lunch and clocked-in, good deserving dude. Glad he played his college ball here.

Congrats. He had one of my all time favorite plays.
It was a screen to the left, he was all by himself, caught the pass about 20-30 yards downfield. Clear sailing to the endzone. Sorry I can't recall the opponent. Can someone help me out with that?
