Does anyone know why he didn't run today? Is he going to bench or do everything a the UT Pro day? Really hope he does well, one of my favorites.

Heard he couldn't run the 40.

In the two days allotted for the combine.

Without fumbling.

Or running into the back of a linemen.

Or just falling down with so much open field in front of him.

Foster stuck it out for 4 years, and while he had some costly fumbles, he didn't complain about the number of touches he got, and made several key catches and blocks over the years.

He certainly wasn't in my top 50 favorite vol players, but we don't need to keep crucifying him for his performance, all it does is reflect negatively on us as a fan base. We got the coaching change many were hoping for, can't we just move on?

What's wrong with speculating where he may end up in the NFL?

He will be all-go for UT's pro day from what I've heard. I hope the hammy doesn't hinder him. Ha. How's that for some alliteration?

Speculate away, I was referring to posts like, "He couldn't finish the 40 in the 2 day time limit" and "Better leave the hand grease at home."

My comment was a joke. I actually liked Foster, and I hope he does well. I really do hope he can find his hands though, because if you can't hold on to the football, you're not going anywhere.

you people crucify this guy. You act as if he did something to set you back in life. He was a good every day back, not great, and put together historically great rushing numbers at UT.

This guy gets criticized more than players like LaMarcus Coker and James Banks, guys who were given free rides with excellent talent, and wasted everyone's money by pissing it away and getting kicked out of school.

He's graduated, it's like beating Phil for the last 3 months. THE HORSE IS DEAD.

Lets be honest, Arian Foster does not have NFL speed, thats why he didn't run. Whether you liked him as a UT running back or not, you have to admit, he rarely, if ever, ran away from anyone. He would run a 4.65 at best.

no doubt, he did not have breakaway speed, which is why you didn't see him run away from defenses unless the safeties were playing up.

He'll run. He got hurt in the Senior Bowl. When he's back at full speed he'll get timed. I don't think Donte Stallworth ran the 40 until UT's pro day. There aren't too many guys that can outrun him.

James Banks actually WON us games. Arian doesn't exactly have that characteristic...

Sure buddy. That's why he was projected as a second round pick last year. Foster has a legitimate injury. If you kept up with the news at all you'd know that he injured it in practice at the Senior Bowl. Whether you liked him as a UT running back or not, you can't overlook his value as an NFL prospect.

Breakaway speed isn't whats going to hurt Foster because Foster might not run a good 40 time but he has good "Football Speed" and good hands.

The one thing that will hurt him is that his size says he is a between the tackle and physical running back but he is more finesse that physical. I wish him luck because he was and always will be a Vol.

He was projected to do lots of things... and never really lived up to the hype... I do keep up with the news and there was a time that I was excited about Arian Foster. I don't care if he is at 100%, I have never seen him show NFL speed. I'm just being realistic. Costly fumbles or not, the NFL-level athleticism, moves, power, and speed just isn't there. I think he gets drafted, but no way is it going to be in the first 4 rounds. His NFL potential, in my opinion, is less than Cedric Houston's was, who was drafted in the 6th round. The fact that he is nursing an injury further hurts his draft stock, this guy was a walking MASH unit at UT, IF he was healthy and ran the timed 40 at the combine, it would not have helped his stock.

Good hands... are you kidding me... maybe for a nose tackle.
