West Tennessee players are generally overrated. Look who is winning state championships year in and out and where they’re located on a map. If anything, East Tennessee doesn’t get respect.

Yet Alabama, Florida and others suck out West Tennessee players every year and get good production. As for east Tennessee attitudes toward WTENN players and folks in general, the hate and disdain pops up here and there on VN and in face to face communications. Your very post here echoes the truth of what I said. As for state school championships, underfunded schools and other impediments makes sure they get better equipment, attract better coaches and etc. But nevermind, one cannot discuss any factual data with a 45'er so I'm ending my exchange with you on the matter now, it's just a waste of time anyway.

With the exception of the private schools and Blount county schools, East Tennessee schools are underfunded have have underpaid coaches, so that’s no excuse. And if the talent is so much more elite in Memphis, it would show up on the field regardless of equipment or coaching pay, but it doesn’t. True there are good players going to other schools and doing well, but there are an inordinate amount of flops coming from Memphis.

It does show up on the field, too often in bordering states. When I drive through KY's regions what I see is pristine school building designs looking practically brand new. But Memphis and other minority prominent schools look worn and not as well equipped for maintenance care. But have it your way. Talking hasn't for decades and still won't change anything.

I mentioned this on the signing day thread but these were all guys heavily vetted and recruited by John Chavis. They were originally signed to Arkansas until that dumpster fire went up in flames. Like I said over there regardless of how you feel about Chavis the guy knows talent. If these are guys John Chavis and Jeremy Pruitt are fighting over for their defense I take that as a sign they are pretty dang good.
