He put a beat down on another student during a pickup bk game. The poor guy had to have a metal plate inserted into his face. I'm guessing McDaniel is still paying financially for that incident. He was also arrested for domestic battery for striking his girlfriend while playing for Miami.

He has or had some issues.

He was probably distraught playing for a Coach that decided to quit and get fat and happy while making millions, and relax on getting backyard takes like Pennington and Cobb and missing on guys down the road like Hightower and Willis.
