That’s what he told UT but he’s from Meridian Miss. Norman isn’t closer than Knoxville. OU desperately needed DL & they paid him well.

As a reminder, Terry was at Kansas for 2 years before transferring to Tennessee. He didn’t start in his 2 years on the Hill but was in the DL rotation. He totaled 35 tackles and three sacks and played 506 snaps in those two seasons. He hit the transfer portal after spring practice in 2023. Transferring didn't changes his lot, he's still not a starter but in OU's DL rotation. Had 18 tackles and a sack last year, played 306 snaps and earned a 76.9 PFF grade. This season, he has seven tackles in 61 total snaps.
