That's pretty much just a space filling move. Pilgrim isn't good enough to contribute.

Don't know much about Pilgram other than he was the next coming according to alot of UK fans. But seems like a good fit for both.

Hat or anyone. Will he have to sit out a year since he was cut from the team and not just transfering?

From the sound of Gary Parrish's article, Pastner and Cal have been working together to get him eligible immediately. Not sure how but seems they all expect it to get done. I think Cal wants to save a little face from kicking kids off the team.

Yeah. Idiots on message boards who read that Pilgrim is a BEAST in pick-up games transferred this knowledge on. Wanna know who else was a "beast" in pick up games? Josh Carrier. Right now your probably all wondering... WHO???

As for Pilgrim playing, word was since he never played in an actual game, they filed for a special circumstances waiver/action to allow him to play next year. Perhaps that was granted by the NCAA. Although they usually never stray from rules.

Pilgrim wont be an all-star or anything, but he certainly will be able to contribute at Memphis!

Pilgrim is a below average player and talent. Where they hype surrounding this guy ever came from is beyond me. I've known the kid and his family for years (from right here in Cincinnati) and he is nothing more than a 8-10 minute role player who might give you 2-4 points and 2-3 rebounds a game.

It would be pretty low for the NCAA not to waive the transfer-must-sit-out rule in the case of players who were recruited over and not retained by a new coach - especially for a player who just sat out for the past season.

Isn't he gonna sign with Cincinnati?
