Former Players Asked To Leave Practice?

I would like anyone, anyone at all, who thinks CDD needs to be "engaging" the fan base to give me at least 5 examples of things he specifically could do to accomplish this. Keep in mind, he hasn't seen his players do much of anything other than go to class and lift weights. Oh yeah, they did have a 2-hour practice today... with helmets! The only rule here with the 5 examples is that they should be football related, so doing birthday parties or Bar mitzvahs doesn't count...

The fans are just nervous and looking for assurance that all is well. I don’t care who he talks to as long as he is able to put a winning product on the field. Until I see it I am going to be nervous; whether he speaks or not.

You do realize that Saban was on a very, very hot seat at MSU before that last season, right? You do realize that he used that one good season as a springboard and pretty much left the Spartans no better off than they were when he arrived, right? It could have been much worse if ND had not been coached by incompetents during that time.

Saban's career came very close to taking a major setback before that one good season.... a season in which he STILL got blown out by Purdue and Wisconsin.

The biggest reason he got the LSU job seems to be that he wasn't DiNardo.

Saban was NOT a household name when LSU hired him. He was NOT a hot commodity. They took a shot on someone who seemed to be a up and comer... sort of like Dooley.

I don't know about saban not leaving MSU in better shape when he left. when he took over they had not had a winning season in 5-6 years and were on probation. When he left they had a their most winning season since the 60's and beat Michigan,ND,OSU and PSU which is a big deal for MSU...Saban was a much hotter coaching commodity than DD is now
