Former player bashes Kiffin

If I was Todd Campbell, I'd be embarrassed to come out in the media and complain that I wasn't consulted that Bryce Brown was getting my number.

Read the story. That's not what he was complaining about. He would have given up the number if asked. It's not about the stupid number. It's about respect which Todd Campbell deserved.

This is beyond stupid. What entitlement did Todd Campbell have to the #11? Easy answer: none. Therefore, nobody owed him anything. He owes the University for letting him have a free education.

IT'S NOT ABOUT THE NUMBER! I've just wasted an hour of my life.

This is how CLK treated all players who he didn't think would contribute. He wasn't mean by any means, he just didn't really care about the feelings or mindset of players he knew weren't going to help him. I've heard stories similar to this one with some of the other players he ran off. He was all about winning, if you weren't going to help him, he wasn't going to waste his time worrying about you. I know for a fact that there were a few scholarship players who he didn't know by name, even by the end of the season.

I'll share a story.

A few years ago, we signed the top high-scool linebacker in the country. He wore #7 in high-school and wanted to wear it at UT. At the time Casey Clausen was wearing #7.
As some of you know, two players can have the same number but they can never be on the field at the same time.

Fulmer actually asked Casey if this kid could wear #7 too. Clausen didn't say "No". He said, "Hell No!".

Yea, you were too busy making moronic comparisons between Petrino and Kiffin, which were totally, 100% offbase.

I know for a fact the same type story is true with Jerod Mayo, but who is the player you are referring to?

the only connection i attempted to make, which i guess you couldn't see, is head football coaches shouldn't use notes and memos to inform a team or team member of a decision. its really not offbase if you don't take absolutely everything out of context. but its ok, you're not the only one logic and simple contextual reading skills seem to escape.

Coaches can handle things however they want, if the decision upset TC so much, he should've just quit the team. CLK wouldn't have cared at all.

If a coach spends all his time holding-hands with 100 kids, he won't get jack-squat accomplished. LOOK AT THE BIG PICTURE

Well do you not think it's stupid for a kid that is about to re-enter the recruiting process by blasting a previous coach in the media?

Yep, apparently I and everyone else on the entire board missed that astute observation.

Maybe we ought to start a foundation for Todd Campbell for the mental trauma he went through as a result of him not being consulted over his number being changed. I believe he has already filed an intentional infliction of emotional distress claim against Lane Kiffin and the entire UT Athletic Department.
