The Missouri Valley Conference has two former Lady Vol doing a great coaching job at two of their schools. Jody Adams is doing a great job at Wichita State withe Lady Wheat Shockers. She is the top seed in the conference tourney. I don't know if many of you remember Kellie Harper but in two years she has taken Missouri State from the basement to the main floor. Missouri State is the 3rd seed. The second seed was knocked out by the 7th seed. She wins her next game and she is in the Championship game. She more than likely is on a collision course to play Wichita State for all the MVC WBB marbles.

Both teams can be seen today on ESPN3, CDST Wichita State@1:30&Missouri State@4:00. This is a real tribute to Pat's continuing impact upon the game. Not only is she a winner, she created winners for the future of WBB.

Anyone know if Geno has any former assistant coaches who are now with other programs? Any head coaches?

He has 9 assistants in his coaching tree; 4 are HC's
1. Carla Berube- Tuffs
2. Kristin Caruso-Longwood
3. Wendy Davis- Trinity
4. Susan Rizzotti- Hartford

He has one former assistant coach who is a head coach, Tonya Cardoza who has former UCONN player, Brittany Hunter as her assistant coach.

I believe that Pat has 85 former players and/or Asst. Coaches still active as either HC/AHC's.

One correction Gino has 10 former players in his coaching tree and one former assistant who is the HC at Temple.

Jamelle Elliot is the head coach at Cinci and played for Geno in the 90's. One of his assistants currently is a former player of his too (Shea Ralph).

Both Missouri State and Wichita State won today so it will be sort of an all Tennessee fight for the Missouri Valley Conference Championship. 2:00pm on ESPN 3 CST. Pat might be retired but she is still producing. Jody and Kelli are two very good young coaches.

Today Jody Adams prevailed over Kellie Jolly-Harper 85 to 71. Great Jody for winning the MVC 3 straight years, a MVC record. Congratulations to Kelli for a job well done. This is a reflection of the young ladies who grace the LV uniform.

watched a few minutes of the second half, Kelly's team moved like they had concrete sneakers, especially rebounding..... :( And her point guard keep trying to drive the ball thru traffic and getting it stripped.

She needed to put fresher legs in the game, even if they were second or third stringers, imho.

Kelli could have called a timeout or two when her team was in trouble, but, this lady took a losing team and within two years she had them playing for a conference championship. To me that deserves a pat or two on the back. According to individuals I know, associated with Missouri State, Kelli inherited a very bad team. It is amazing that, within two years, she has managed to head them in the right direction. I also take into consideration that we are talking about mid-major talent. I think that next year her team will be a very good mid major team.

most of UConn former players are still playing

(Ridiculous)

Let me see Geno came to UCONN in 1984, since that time he has had 27 players drafted into the WNBA. There must be a ton of them playing oversees. Besides that some of them are way over the hill.
