I read that and was saddened.

I met Lasorda personally when I was 19 in the lobby of the Atlanta Marriott Marquis after a Dodgers-Braves game. He didn't know me from Adam, but he stopped and talked for 10 minutes. Very nice guy who had a passion for baseball.
