Former Coach Fulmer Shown Respect in Spurrier Documentary

You guys knocking Chavis are a bunch of Jewell's, I tell ya. Dude says Chavis wasn't much without talent. Please list the coaches who are great without talent. Nobody in the sec beat us except Florida back in the day. You guys are a bunch of idiots, especially after the hand we've been dealt.

Spurrier (all-time coaching legend), and Osborne (all-time coaching legend) really ruined UT's seaons from 95-99. If we could have just beaten those two teams we could have went undefeated for several years straight. Memphis State & Arkansas were the only two other losses during that span.

Chavis and Fulmer really sucked. But Cut was a mastermind though, indeed, his light only being diminished by the "Fat-Duo". Tragic that he & Peyton had to suffer those two bumbling idiots.

Chavis is only doing well at LSU because they have superior talent. But whenever they play a team with better offensive talent, Chief gets outcoached, consistently.

Proof that Fulmer was a dud is the fact no one hired him after Tennessee dropped him like a bad habit midseason 2008.

Fulmer & Chavis suck forever. They should never be mentioned around here again, unless we are talking about how Saban (all-time coaching legend), or Meyer (decent record, won a game or two) owned their fat asses. Or we are critiquing the Wyoming game.

Glad that is all out of the way now.

Ready for some football.

I have varying levels of love for all of humanity. However, I will continue to jump into the Fulmer Debate whenever it pops us. However it pops up. It is retarded that Vol fans keep that fouls **** in their mouths about our coach like that. He can't win them all. But he did win 100 more than he lost. Epic failure as SEC coaches go, right? I mean there has to have been dozens of head coaches with more than 152 wins. I need to do a quick search of the top 10 winningest head coaches in SEC history. See where donut boy landed on that list.

We disagree on whether Fulmer was losing it...I fought that belief until it became apparent to me in his last season...even in the best of times I got frustrated when our team was the outcoached in big game matchups...Peyton's senior season in the bowl game against Nebraska, fellow Vol fan tells me BEFORE halftime "watch this...Osborne and his boys will make adjustments...ours won't!"...sure enough! Even in the championship season it was the talent he RECRUITED more than his coaching that won out ...IMO. I wish you and your ilk no disrespect in your blind adoration of Coach Fulmer...I just happen to disagree that he would have just recharged ... And there's a few of us.

That's because you and your boys were idiots. Peyton manning was injured and we fought with one arm behind our back. I guess the man would have only pleased you had he gone unbeaten. Still the last man to win back to back sec titles! You are who I thought you were!!!!!!!!

You do know that the Gators were the National Champs that year, don't you?

Vols lost a close game that came down to an onside kick at the end. Gators could not stop the Vols in the 4th quarter.

If you want to be upset about one of those games, I'd take the 95 game. Vols blew a 31-14 lead when Graham fumbled the first two series of the 2nd half, and the Vols D didn't even slow the Gators down in the 2nd half. I'd agree with you on that one. Lost something like 62-37.

Crazy huh? They won the mnc but we were better!

I believe it was Peyton 's Junior year...Spurrier put 3 OL in front of Wuerfful...sent EVERYBODY else out wide to the left...QB sneaked it for a first down!...Chavis got punked on a regular basis against the OBC.
It's called the Emory and Henry

Only thing I will say is this, if ur going to run off a coach that has 152 wins and only 52 loses then u don't hire kiffin to replace him. Say what u want about coaching or talent but until Butch got here, we have had really bad coaches.

You have no thought process...everything you post makes no sense...you're this BIG VOL STALWART but you start threads about lawyers saying we're going to suck and argue before a freaking game even starts that Fournette is a Heisman candidate and Hurd will struggle and the only reason we think he'll succeed is because he's a Vol!...WHO AND WHAT ARE YOU?

Stick to the subject at hand. You and your buddies were idiots to think that we had a shot against Nebraska when manning was injured. Also, Fulmer lost to nobody in the sec from October 1994 thru November 1999 except Florida. Was your expectation that he should be unbeaten. You are a fraud to ever say you supported Fulmer.
Also, nobody knows what Hurd or fournette will do.
Fournette is already on heisman watch lists and has a lot of hype around him. I didn't make it up like the crap uou come with.

All I'm saying is you don't fire him 1 yr after an SECCG appearance. You give him 1 more yr to right the ship. If it's not a satisfactory or better season, have a coach lined up to replace him at the end of 09. That was literally my only problem with it. He was a great coach but I could understand making 09 his deciding yr as I feel most fulmer supporters would agree with.

Probably what I would have done...remember being depressed after his press conference... Before that final season, I psyched myself up over Clawson and the new direction it could take Fulmer 's program...even thought Clawson might be groomed as heir apparent. :thud: Gritting through that season, I felt there was nothing redeeming about how Fulmer handled the implosion...it seemed that he was self-deluded that if he tinkered with an offense that he didn't understand...he could fix everything and relaunch...In retrospect I disagree, I think he had a top spread scheme friendly recruiting class lined up...but he would've fired Clawson after the season and replaced him with a coordinator that ran a more familiar scheme...all IMO...we'll never know. There would've never been a good time to replace him...similar to Tom Landry down here in Dallas...Mike Hamilton just didn't pick a Jimmy Johnson.
