Forde has no standards. I wouldn't have minded the article if he had not taken the cheap shot at Phil, because we were atrocious last season, and most pundits seem to think 2-6 will be the record after 8 games, but that shot about Fulmer was unnecessary and actually was rather slimy. Which seems to be Forde's m.o. the last few years. I had thought it was just Butch he didn't like, but obviously he has some sort of grudge against UT.

At this point WV probably thinks they are playing the likes of some FBS school. Tennessee is still an SEC school. WV is going to be surprised by how big and fast Tennessee is, and boy are they hungry! Go ahead and discount the Vols! It’s going to be a war! I really believe that! If they think they are going to waltz right down the field they’ll know different by the second qtr!

We have a lot of players who were pretty talented when they graduated high school but unfortunately weren't developed by Botch, all that damage of bad coaching isn't going to be undone totally in a year. I think 2-6 is probably the floor for those first 8 with 5-3 being the ceiling. 3-5 is probably the most likely, assuming we find a way to beat 1 out of the 3 we've got a reasonable shot at beating (WVU, UF, or USCe).

If the floor is lower than that, we have lost to either ETSU or UTEP ... and Jeremy Pruitt sets the record for the shortest honeymoon. LOL.

Not arguing the points he’s making one way or the other but PF is the perfect example created in this day of the Head Line driven “drive by media”. It’s really designed to flood the market and is usually agenda driven as well. I know there’s a lot of “driven” references there but it’s the operative word and helps understand what’s going on.

You are correct! They don't know sh_t! We have a lot of talent--just putting the right ppl in the right positions to succeed, unlike last year, and having some real coaches that teach instead of all the rah-rah crap.

every Jurrasic Park movie has that one character whose sole job it is to be the first to get eaten by the dinosaurs, thus demonstrating their lethality. That is precisely the role to be played by WV in the Vols 2018 season
