There's one team I don't see on the top 25 that has been consistently in the top 5 the past few years a d that's Clemson. I wonder what their receipe for success looks like. Coaching, recruiting? Goes to show it's not always about the money.

Hire cheap coaches
Increase ticket costs
Fans flock for mediocre football

This all equals increased revenue
Why do you torture yourself so by being a "fan" of a team that is so terrible? Masochism is so last year.

Value has to do with profitability, among other factors. I past years (2016 and 2017) we were ranked even higher. IIRC one of these past two years we were ranked #2.

I thought we have been higher in the past.

Until the UTAD stops spitting out cash and salaries, I doubt anyone there will care.

It's that offense. Something we wouldn't know about!

yeah brother...there is nothing up that way. I grew up about 50 miles to the west of Lubbock, almost to the New Mexico state line...which is worse! However, there is also a lot of Oil Wells, so I guess that's probably the answer!

If we suck for too long, eventually people will stop attending. It happened to the Cubs. They would sell out for years no matter how bad the team was. Then the sell outs stopped. New ownership came in and started getting better players and the team started winning.

Poor attendance is the only way to get people’s attention.

I'm not sure it would be enough still honestly because of the tv money. Some are perfectly fine with putting a cheap product on the field year after year.
