Dobbs or Hurd?

I'd love to think a 2017 Heisman campaign would keep Hurd until his senior year, but he's taking a lot of hits. Things are getting better, but he's created a lot his yards all on his own and he'll be a first round draft pick as a junior.

I can't choose between them. I love both their games. Maybe there could be a nationwide "understanding" so that the votes are tied and both take it home? It would be fitting justice for all of the Heisman injustice Tennessee has been dealt.

It will be great to have not just one Vol but two Vols in the hunt and in the mix for the Heisman again. I hope one of them takes it home but I can't choose between them.

We find more ways to torment ourselves than any other fan base in the country. (Excluding Georgia):)

I'm not sure he's a first round lock. Not as much emphasis is put on running backs in the NFL draft. Fournette is the first back off the board. Chubb will likely be second even after knee. I don't know where Hurd lands in the draft. He would need a really nice year to be a first rounder, though.

You can't try to win individual awards.. You can try to help you team win championship.. Peyton Manning ... Boom!

When you have a star QB and star RB, the hype will to the QB first. Remember Matt Leinart won the heisman before Reggie Bush.

None of the above.
I lost all respect for the hymen award when they failed to award it to Johnny Majors and gave it to a player on a losing team (2-8 Notre Dame) instead.

Neither...I bet both of those players are more concerned with getting this team back to prominence. These players/team will have enough pressure and expectations put on them from our fan base and media. They don't need that hype train side show!

Evan Berry. It is time to make him a four way player as a WR,RB,DB and return guy. Or we could just go with Paul Bain.

I hope no UT player ever wins the Heisman Trophy. That trophy is not worthy of any UT player. Have not watched the presentation since 1997 and never will.

And in reality, football is a team sport. Individual awards are worthless.

Football is a team sport and cannot argue with you there. If you do have a Heisman caliber player on your team, it means you have a good team competing and winning at high level.

1. If Peyton didnt win it then Dobbs has little to no chance

2. Hurd doesnt see nearly enough touches and until the OL becomes elite, he wont win it.

3. Most importantly, I dont want any UT player to win it. Why? Just look at the past Heisman winners and their success in the NFL.
