The silence has given me time to refocus and get some high scores in the VN arcade. After all, high scores is what it is all about.

I like how the media thinks they deserve attention from Coach Dooley. Some fans are like that too, actually.

Amazing isn't it? Football is entertainment, but some people can't figure out that the entertainment is the product on the field, not the coaches comments. These are the same people who would think it's revealing and interesting when he says we're going to run a 40 base defense or that he won't give scholarship to someone he doesn't think can play....

I gotta say something here about this "lack of communication". I'm not freaking out or anything like that, but talking to the fans, alumni associations and media, IS part of a coaches job description. I don't like not hearing from the HC on occasion. He can at least take 30 minutes out of a week to comment on what he's seen so far. We even had a recruit de commit because he wasn't contacted. If you want warning signs, just look around.....that was a biggie. We've been asked by posters to grade this new staff, and on this one subject, I'd give him a big "F".

"Silence, something about silence makes me sick"
Zach De la Rocha - Rage Against The Machine:rock:

I'm surprised anyone stomachs Rage Against The Latrine around here. I've killed* men for playing that crap!

(*okay, it was actually farted in crowded elevators, but they WISH that they could die. :) )

I am a fan. Him reporting to me does nothing for the program. I am frustrated when I see a coach wasting 30 min, when he could be working on the job at hand.

Look at the threads, that kid didn't decommit because of lack of communication. If he really does love ut, an adult with some sense will help him straighten out the mess.

Cdds job includes media relations, yes. But if there is nothing meaningful that he could and would give an honest and informative answer to at the moment, then don't waste the time.
