Please relax!

Every year, us Vol fans can't wait until the team takes the field. Don't rush it! You'll enjoy it more if you just let it happen.

When I was younger, I was the same way...so I get it. This was before the Internet. I would wake up early at my Londontown apt. and walk (or drive if headed to Campus) and stop by Weigles and pick up a paper to see what was written about practice. Back then, you didn't know when freshmen reported, etc. You just got what they told on the news or in the paper.

My point is, don't rush it. Last year, people were fired up as well and by the end of Sept./ early Oct. they were asking when basketball season started.

This year has a different feel to it. The Big Orange will be ready...so enjoy (just don't rush) the ride.

I totally agree...people get anxious for the start, then the next thing you know its week 6 and we are half way through the season only to sit and wait for 8 more months.

Logically, this makes sense...

But when put into practical application.....

What I hate about college football season is how quickly it flies by. Once you get to November, it seems like yesterday was Labor Day.

I have an advantage. My TV can see in the future so I watch games before they're played.

Spoiler alert: UT wins the east and it includes a very narrow 2 point win over Bama in one the weirdest games played. We let them have a safety where DY ran around in the endzone to kill the clock before being tackled, rather lying down. But we lost the rematch with Bama for the SECCG by 6 points. Sorry. Wanted to kill the TV but its only a machine that does what it's supposed to do, show the future so. . . . Hasn't yet show which bowl we go to. Might be due to sunspot activity.

Its a shame i agree.. I wouldnt mind expanding the number of scholarship players alotted to a 100!! Depth would be an issue if we could possibly expand the season and maybe make an 8 game playoff and since they are talking about having 9 conference games add an extra non conference game so we can play a powerhouse from another conference when we return to the promise land!! That could prolong things and maybe an extra bye week in during the second half of the season to help some folks recover... IIRC there was talk about paying college football players among other sports some sort of compensation due to the revenue the athlics bring in... It would be great for every team to have the opportunity to play 14 games total and create more af an nfl type season!!
