Jake, what was the mood of the crowd today? In Majors' time, the stadium would be full, but they'd let him know if they weren't happy. To paraphrase one sportswriter when his Vols were struggling against a Troy-like team, "they booed Majors, they booed the team, they booed the national anthem."

I guess the point is, Hart as AD can ignore a lot of problems. But he cannot ignore a half-empty Neyland Stadium. Nor can he ignore fans unhappy with the Vols' performance and venting their frustration in the time-honored fashion.

Not a lot of booing but not a lot of noise either. For most of the game the Troy fans were louder than Vol fans

1. No way I was sitting next to 84000 ppl.

2. As of this week, they accept cash only at all of the venders...

Huge let down for my son's first game, took me 20 mins to find a cash machine so he could get a neyland hotdog!

But an exciting game, I had a good time. I could play QB for Troy today, I think.

My estimate from the Terrace....65K at best. Hell...I had 4 vacant seats between me and the next fan and that was the norm in my section. Most depressing homecoming game I've attended in 40 years.

People spend years of money, time, and devotion to expect more from the 2nd winningest program in SEC football history. It doesn't excuse him for being a jerk but don't call him fair weather bro. If he actually showed up there he justlike feels cheated by Dooley for this waste of a coaching disaster he is putting on the field.

Oh shut up. I'll call him whatever I want. He was-is a fair weather fan. You pay for 60mins, the players play for 60 mins, I'm there for 60 duckin minutes.

He was a deusche, kept yelling ***** as loud and long as he could, as well as other obscenities in front of my 12 and 4 yr old kids. The 12yr old can handle it but it was my toddler's first game. I got mad at the game, but have respect for the ppl around you.

Needless to say, at halftime, our day got a lot better

The "vols of old" promo at the start of the 4th was one of the saddest/most awkward things I've ever seen at Neyland. The place was dead.

The current vols were standing on the side line watching that video i couldn't help to think what they were thinking "wow our D really does suck"

I agree it's like they were saying remember the glory days of old and what we used to be.

Question: Heard Tee Martin was at the game on the sideline in USC Gear thought he had a game to coach???

When the team ran threw the T it was the quietest I every heard our fans.

The whole game was pathetically quiet. It wasn't until the fourth quarter that I could get anyone around me to even clap their hands when our guys were on defense. hmmm...guess what...that's also when the defense finally made some stops.

If you were the dude on row 60 of section G, please just keep your hillbilly ass at home next time you think you want to catch a game. Hearing you scream "We suck!" for three hours because you think you had all the answers was worse than watching our defense.
