For those who are watching the game at home

Lucky for me, I’m retired for 2 years after teaching for 35 years-I've done my time! I have a tee time for 2:04, my husband is ordering wings and I’ll pick them up on my way home. I know, it’s a tough life….
I’m an extremely blessed woman! Have to say, pretty excited for the game!

Maybe grab a New England lobster roll from &Lobster on the way home. Mighty good.

What will your lifestyle be like 3 hours before kickoff Thursday you think? I know we play on Saturdays, but I’ve always wanted to know how you get things done within three hours before the game. What will be frustrating to you to get done, settled, and able to watch the game in peace? Running errands, work, or something else?
My frustration will be getting off from work at 4. Never deciding what to eat till the last minute on Thursday, picking up food, getting it home, cooking. I’m have a few more errands to run before I even get home.
Are you going to be rushed? Will it be easy to finish by kickoff? What do you do?

Pray that Uverse does not die again. After all the mess w/w eather, we lost power today six outs away from baseball that I was watching.
Hope we can get dinner out of the way early.
Don't catch Delta strain in waiting room of doctor's office in afternoon,
dream that my better half will develop 4-hour case of laryngitis (she hardly ever is quiet during the holy hours Vols are on tube.
avoid messageboards during game
and yes, not dig too deep into the decent supply of ales that are chilling.
be thankul bammer isnt on tube since i wont have to listen to her screaming

My game day is going to be very hectic! Making several beer runs to campus tomorrow morning, checking in on all of my accounts the rest of the day and then having an pregame event at a campus watering hole. If you are attending the game, support your local beer guys and drink LOTS of beer, but be safe.😎
GBO!!

Call the kids. Tell them I love them……but to leave me alone for a few hours. If they have an emergency call their mom.

Take a cold shower. Put on my ragged 98 orange tee shirt. Turn in circles 5 times, grab the horse shoe, the rabbits foot, the 4 leaf clover. Make my spot in the living room, eat home a made sub sandwich and peanuts in the shell (cause that’s what I had all of 98 when I watched from home…..it will work again one day).

Take a deep breath and watch.
/\ doing it right.

It's game day. There are no expectations of me from anyone and they know it. Also been retired for 7 years

I've been retired a couple years now. I like weekdays better than weekends because everything is less crowded. Although, with covid, there are lots more people out throughout the day. That said, I'll be making chili. It will be eaten well before the game, though. Very un-exciting life and that's one reason why Vol football is so important to my wife and me. Go Vols!
will be working from home probably still with it on in the background

I just want us to play good football! It’s been so long since we have been competitive. We used to fly around the football. I’m a Tenn grad and I hate losing without being competitive. We haven’t been in years… Lets go Big Orange!!!!

Getting off work, picking up my 3 boys from day care, getting them and myself fed and then praying my 1 year old son is good and allows me to actually enjoy the game!

Whoo! You are going to be in a rush right after the game to get home. I don’t blame you getting that food early.
Yup thats why I ran all errands today. My son goes to the same high school Marquez Calloway went to and they happen to be playing Jake Fromm's high school tomorrow. Its the freshman teams but traffic will still be a pain. Ill probably miss most of the 1st quater. I can stream it to the phone but its just not the same smh.

Gave my tickets to my assistant. It's supposed to be a beautiful day so I'm going to bag work around 3:00, drop the top on my 911 and cruise the mountains until 30 mins before the game starts. Then pick up dinner at 50's Hop Diner and slide into my favorite chair just in time for kickoff.

I'll probably get a speeding ticket.

Don't skip. Find a way to stream if you must.
My kids are grown now and I missed out on some stuff working two jobs while they were young.
Kids are more important

Replay is usually available the next day or two on YouTube. Watch it then, don’t miss your kids stuff.

I am trying to mow in between rain, kinda hope its raining tomorrow when I get off lol. Then probably some pepperoni and bacon pizza and a Coke, maybe 2 if I get really excited lol. Then put on some some comfy orange attire and watch.

I do pray that your universe will not go out, especially during the game tomorrow night. I try to to get dinner the day before the ball game, but sometimes that isn’t happening at times. Something always seems to come up before the game. Now, from what I stated on this thread, I’ve had three more things to come up into tomorrow evening. It is going to push my timing back a little to get home before kickoff, but I think I’ll make it. Now, I know what you are talking about when it comes to your wife. Maybe, if your dream comes true, maybe she’ll develop that hoarseness.😂 Oh boy, especially when Bama is on. Whooo whee, sounds like you have a busy house.😎😎

Sounds like you are going to need more runs than that, if the vol family is fired up there, and decides to guzzle it all down. What?? Either before the game or during the game.😂

Congratulations of being retired. No! Actually, you’re a vol fan, there isn’t nothing wrong setting in your recliner two hours before kickoff being nervous. I have friends that starts getting nervous and antsy by Thursday morning, and they’re ready to go!
