For those who are watching the game at home

Work till 3, get kids off the bus, snacks & homework, then baseball & Taekwondo from 5:45-7:15, home then dinner through Q1, pour an Old Fashioned or two while watching the Vols throttle BGSU. Fall asleep by halftime.

Work, tending to the the kiddos and then their after school activities - those were some busy, busy days.

I don't know if all the excitement built up for the game would allow me to fall asleep very often during the game but I can relate.

Go Vols !

What will your lifestyle be like 3 hours before kickoff Thursday you think? I know we play on Saturdays, but I’ve always wanted to know how you get things done within three hours before the game. What will be frustrating to you to get done, settled, and able to watch the game in peace? Running errands, work, or something else?
My frustration will be getting off from work at 4. Never deciding what to eat till the last minute on Thursday, picking up food, getting it home, cooking. I’m have a few more errands to run before I even get home.
Are you going to be rushed? Will it be easy to finish by kickoff? What do you do?

Thursday, leaving work at 11:30 central time. 3 hours before kick off? Should be driving up state highway 70 getting close to Crossville messing with the radio dial trying to pick up a Knoxville radio station. Anticipation building, but trying to keep my mind on driving safely.

I prefer to record games and start watching about an hour after kickoff. This allows me to skip the commercials, rewatch a few plays and finish about the same time as the actual game finishes

Family knows I accept no game day grandkids or non_Vols crazed visitors and mean it.

Thursday - 5:15AM: Prep breakfast. Six Tennessee Pride sausages pan fried. Six eggs whipped in 2TBS buttermilk, finely chopped up mushrooms, finely chopped onion, and chopped asparagus tips. Eight buttermilk biscuits, peppered gravy, ginger and cinnamon flavored home stewed apple heated pipping hot. Coffee prepared in a percolator instead of our usual coffee maker (we grind our coffee beans ourselves).

Thursday - Rest of the day: Watch the news, sit outside on the porch and just chatter. Watch whatever games are playing, if any.

Thursday - 5:00PM: Ginger Ale flavored BBQ chicken breast, succotash, mashed potatoes, gravy, creamed broccoli, accompanied by Leffe Blonde Ale. No desert.

Thursday - 7:00PM. Start watching SECN. Enjoy the game.

I like going to the stadium, but there's no place like home.
Suffering Succotash! That actually sounds like a good day.

I'll be watching on my phone, while on the sideline of my daughter's high school soccer match. I will record it, though, and watch it again on the big TV at home.

I wish I still had the excitement for the games. I won't really think much about it until a few minutes b4 kickoff.

I still get very excited for the basketball games. I guess years of average to below average play and results have taken a toll when it comes to football

The DVR is a great thing for this. Since I’ve had kids, I’ve recorded almost every game, did what I had to do during the day, and watched after they went to bed. It’s obviously been a few forgettable years for UT football. Recording the games let’s me fast forward through commercials and the terrible football. I’m done after an hour and a half or sooner. It’s pretty liberating to be honest. There are some I’ll watch live if I think it’ll be a good game but given our history, those usually get turned off early.

Great breakfast for skipping lunch! My kind of menu.

I'll dial in the bourbon pours with a peek at UCF and Boise State. With luck, one or both of those guys could end up in "the tire fire previously known as the Big 12."

Gus should be rested, tanned, and grinning a 20 million dollar grin.

here in England the game starts at 1:00am and thus it will finish between 4:00am and 5:00am so its gonna be a long day Thursday and a long day Friday.

12.:30am i will drag my sofa to the computer, I will log in to the Vol Network for the Kesling pre-game show (what the hell is termite protection?)

12:55am I will log in to a website that allows me to watch the game (I wont mention the site online). I will be joined by a bottle of Pepsi and some Twirls and Chocolate biscuits, then wait for the kick off.

CANT WAIT !!
What site is that?

I will get home around 16:00, cook dinner, cleanup around the house a little, then disappear down to the basement to watch the game. I will probably watch the first half, unless BG makes it interesting, then off to bed. Have a Ruck then a workout starting at 4:30 Friday morning. Don't want to be too much of a zombie!

I'll come down from my office upstairs around 4:00 pm CST. Go for a walk to work off some of the buildup, then make dinner (usually a meat and a veggie). Then a few minutes before game time turn to the SEC network and go into the kitchen to make me an "Old Fashioned" and sit in my easy chair for the game. My wife may or may not choose to join me in the living room, she knows I get worked up for the games and most times chooses to steer clear of me for a while especially if it is the Vols/Gators/Bama matchups.

Work until 4, then hustle the kids to football and cheerleading practice. Listen to the game until I can get back to the house to watch.

Not sure now that Bonnaroo has cancelled. Already had DVR set

So can you keep your spot and walk to the game?

We're not allowed to park in our usual spaces on gameday, so would need to move the car to a faculty gameday parking location (there are very few of these) if I go (not sure if I can yet).

And Knoxville is a very underrated pizza town. Lots of great pies to be had. I'll add Harby's to my list of places to try.

I have class until 5, so I'll be focused on teaching and not on the game. Once my last class is over I'll come home, start the grill, and get my noise cancelling headphones on. Burgers and Vols, no better Thursday night.

I always loved Stefanos. Haven't been back in awhile, is it still around?

Wife has bunco game ... so helping with that ... till shortly before game time .... then bailing to 'my dungeon' so that I can shut out the 'chattering' and concentrate on all things Orange. My brothers are watching at the houses in Al, NC and we are on a 3way cell phone call talking about the game. Lots of fun!

How do you deal with the brother who has the faster t.v. feed and is 20 seconds before everyone else?

I will be busy until about game time but should have some time for beer, whisky or bourbon, maybe all three. My wife is making her famous venison chilli for supper.
