Hart is smarter than many in our fan base and will give DD the time he needs to build a competitive roster. We are moving in that direction, but are not there yet. Hart knows that a staff upheaval now would not be good for our present players or for recruiting.

The team is much improved now playing with Freshmen, Sophs and Juniors as opposed to the last 2 years of playing Freshmen and Sophs. Next year we will have a good senior class and can then start being more competitive with the top tier teams.

Well that's not true at all... Never heard of a rebuilding team that HAD to beat atleast one out of two top 3 teams in the country to keep the coaches job.. U have been posting the most ridiculous crap lately..

So because he lost to the #4 and #14 teams in the country, he has to beat the #1 or #3 team in the country or else he loses his job? That's irrational.

The day that beating Miss State is considered a "signature" win is the day that UT has really hit the bottom.

I read and happen to agree this weekend against Missississippi State will be the make or break game for Dooley to remain at UT after this season. A loss to State coupled with probable losses against SC and Bama, bye bye.

Uhhh, just in case you haven't noticed, we hit the bottom a few years ago thanks to Fulmer and Kiffin. I know you think we should just remain at the top, but in the real world it doesn't work like that.

And I don't think people are considering it a "signature" win for the program, but more so for Dooley, after all, there have been 406,025,588 posts about his lack of ability to beat a ranked team.

I'm a Tennessee Vols fan and I bleed Orange.

I always support ALL our coaches and ALL our players.

If the time comes that AD Hart decides we need a new football coaching staff then that's HIS job and NOBODY here on VN has anything at all to say about it...NOBODY!!!

The simple FACT is that I have NOT heard AD Hart mutter even 1 word about CDD being on any hot seat so I doubt CDD is on a hot seat for many reasons especially his current contract with a HUGE buyout clause.

I have NOT heard AD Hart even hint at any specific number of Wins that CDD has to get in order to keep his job.

The truth is that the ONLY people talking hot seat or a specific number of Wins that we need to get are a few people that simply either hate CDD or are totally clueless about how bad our player roster was when CDD got here and how college recruiting works that forces 4 to 5 years on any coach to totally rebuild a college program.

Most of the disgruntled fans here on VN have even let us know of their silly agenda that will NEVER happen with Gruden.

A few people in the press have said some things but that's their JOB...Stir up drama to make more sales, get more hits on a website, ect simply to try and make more $$$.

Press does NOT care if there's any truth to anything anymore as long as the drama continues and the $$$$ rolls in.

Until AD Hart does actually say something then it's only drama, rumors and garbage.
