Sometimes,I wonder how many Walmart fans we have posting here on this board. My definition of a Walmart Fan=Their only connection to the program is they bought a Tshirt, Hat, Sweatshirt, etc at Walmart and think they are a "Blood runs Orange" Fan.

I once lived in Bamar with a secretary like this. She was always dishing out crap about how great Bamar was and how the Vols sucked. I asked her one day what year she graduated from Bamar? Her reply was "Oh, I never went to college!" I asked her how often did she go to games? Her reply was "Oh, I've never been to a game, "I just watch em on TV" To hear her tell it she could have been Bear's daughter she was so full of here Bamar self.

Yea, we've got problems, nobodys defending that. We've Lost 5 games to teams that have an average ranking of 8.8, so call it 9. We could have won a couple of those except for maybe a couple bad calls, bad plays, etc.

What would any coach, considering taking a job at Tennessee, think of the way we treat our coaches, painting rocks, etc? Wonder why they demand and get such lucrative buyouts. I say at least show some class if you earned your rights to be a Vol Fan, like went there, go to games, etc. If your a Walmart Vol, then that explains a lot on this board

Actually, it seems we have fallen below that level. Reality is right now, the argument could be made that we are the worst team in the league, besides Auburn. we may "win out" but if we are now gauging this season on whether or not we beat Troy, Mizz, Vandy and Kentucky...and people still feel like we need to give these coaches another year......i dont know what to say. Im all vol and vfl and all that, and will be there to support this team regardless who is coaching, but dang...at what point do we say time to move on? this was supposed to be a good season folks, remember CDD telling the world "No excuses.." and "You wont have Tennessee to kick around anymore".....patience walked off the field when the clock struck 00:00 in Starkville..at least it did for me. I was willing to be more patient with Coach Fulmer, a man that was orange blooded and had done so much for this team, University and state but he had earned it. You can come with all of the "improvements" that we have seen this year, but the record says otherwise. Time to demand better. If you are gonna give this staff another year, you might as well give them 5 more, because recruiting is gonna stink, and next year is gonna be worse than this year.

I was on fence after last years UK loss. After Fla. game I jumped and never looked back, because it is Dooley job to have team ready to beat our biggest rival.

And Kentucky and Vandy have played LSU, Arkie (when Petrino was there) and Bama how many times in the same year since Joker and GFranklin have been there?

And if this is a game of one on one, what is Franklin's record against Dooley?

And I guess your argument means you'd perfer to have Joker or Franklin as the head coach of the Vols?

And Ole Miss beat Auburn and Arkie the past two weeks. I'd wager a ton the Vols would have won both games as well, and also spanked Ole Miss too.

I'm not a huge Franklin fan but I think it's pretty much fact that he's a better coach than Dooley. He marched a much less talented squad into Neyland last year and lost in overtime. Vandy plays teams tougher than the Vols do. That's coaching, cause it sure as heck ain't player talent driven. But by all means lets keep Dooley here until Vandy has equal talent to us. With Dooley's history of winning games he shouldn't, I'm sure that will work out well for us.

I hate to say it, but we really don't need 4 coaches in 6 years. Our team has improved and rebuilding takes time. Our defense is attrocious. I think if we get that fixed, we will be fine. We really don't need to fire Dooley and go thru all of that drama to get that done. Some say Sunseri was Hart's hire anyway.... Regardless, stabilty is needed for just a little while longer. If they don't get it done next year, fine, let him go. But we will be in a world of hurt for many more years, unless there is a GRAND SLAM hire waiting to take over. Patience....

It's difficult to argue with one who supports his position with such sound "critical thinking". Only deep critical thinkers could articulate their positions with such strong analytical language as "Dooley blows".

So lets see, you can only be a fan if, 1. You are an alumnus, or 2. You go to games, or 3. You have somehow "earned your right" to be a fan...so what on God's green earth makes you feel like you have to meet some certain prerequisites to be a fan and have an opinion? And in case you didnt know, those hats, t-shirts and other UT stuff brings money in as well. I guess im "In like Flynn"... ive got all the bases covered. Wonder what level fan i can be with being an alumnus, season ticket holder, buy UT stuff occasionally, have even went to a bowl game and couple of away games. Maybe we should start a points system like the UTASF...

I could explain to you the General Theory of Relativity if I took a notion to do so. If you would rather know about the Theory of Special Relativity, or even what the difference is between the two I could do that too. Perhaps you would like me to recite the quadratic formula or the Pythagorean Theory? I don't fully understand Quantum Mechanics, but I'd be willing to bet that I'm more versed on it than you. Perhaps History is your thing and you'd like to know how Copernicus concluded that our solar system is heliocentric (Earth is not the center of the solar system.)

The point is this:

I choose to type things like "Dooley blows" because I choose to, not because I am incapable of articulating my thoughts in a more intelligent manner. This is because I am not a know-it-all little b*** like you. And if you want to know about any of the aforementioned topics, go to college and get an education for yourself.

This is the difference between UT and the top programs. We expect to be mediocre against a good schedule. We always make excuses why we should not win. The top programs are saying why not win. They are determining what it takes to win and doing it. UT is always poor pitiful me and we are so lucky when we can win.

If we do not expect to win then we need to get out of the SEC and into the Sunbelt where our coach can be competitive.

Even if you are right, I am still forced to argue against Vanderbilt (that's how much I hate them).

Vanderbilt has not played teams tougher this year.

I don't suppose you want to compare the Georgia scores do you? Georga beat the Commode-doors by 45; Georgia beat the Vols by 7.

The Florida and South Carolina games were about the same margin of defeats.

We may be down and Dooley should be replaced, but Vanderbilt is still Vanderbilt. Vanderbilt has still only beaten us once in the past 29 years.

Now I am darn sure I ain't as smart as you but I don't believe any of them big words you used up there have anything to do with football. I may be wrong since I ain't a college boy (like you are I guess) but I think if'n one is going to give an opinion, it ought to based on something other than "Dooley blows". Its kinda hard to take your argument serious like when you support youself like that. But that's just me.

Or maybe you don't wanna be takin' seriously.
