Of course I was celebrating about the loss and I am sure you’ll were celebrating when we lost to Georgia southern and went 4-8.

What I do know is that we have been there where we lost to a opponent that we should when won while drunk as a skunk. There were he same arguments that we should give him more time etc, in the end, losing to a team like that should mean automatic firing and not be paid a single cent.

Main difference here being you didn’t find me on gator chomp (or whatever it’s called) telling you guys what you should be doing!

Y'all are gonna have to pick a coach you are comfortable with and ride out some losing seasons.

Firing the coach every few years accomplished a couple of things:

1) It makes the job undesirable, except to first timers or those wanting a paycheck
2) It destroys recruiting relationships, ensuring you never have the talent to compete

Maybe Pruitt isn't the guy, I don't know. But you are gonna have to pick a horse and ride it for awhile.

That is the point many Pruitt apologists are ignoring. It isn't just one game. It is multiple games. It is an entire off-season where we were told this team was stronger, quicker, and faster than our previous squad. It was the first game of the season, one where Pruitt had ample opportunity to prepare this team for a bottom feeding Sun Belt squad.

What we saw wasn't a rebuilding team, as the term "rebuilding" implies progression from one year to the next. What we got instead was regression, a team incapable of even standing toe-to-toe in terms of strength and speed with a mediocre Sun Belt team. We got a team that simply did not understand what it was doing. We watched coaches who, when confronted with the difficulties their players were facing, failed to adjust to what Georgia State was doing in the heat of the moment when they were most needed.

This team is worse than it was at the end of the Vanderbilt game. Pruitt had higher expectations for this team than he had for his first one. When they fall short, the blame rests entirely with him.

In such a scenario, we are not remotely close to what anyone would describe as a proper rebuilding process.

Yep, you're right, it's the fans fault for getting dominated by Georgia state. Maybe it's Butch Jone's fault, or John Currie. This could never be on our current coaches, am I right?

Saturday's loss is definitely unacceptable and the guilt lies with the overpaid coaches aka glorified physical education teachers. I was watching the game on T.V. and every time JG over threw a pass the commentators kept saying "miscommunication". The coaches and players have had 9 months to insure there is no miscommunication, so what have they been doing during that time? Who knows? What I do know is that for everyone calling for Pruitt's head is justified in doing so but nothing will happen if you keep showing up to the games and spending money. The best way to force the administration's hand is to not show up. Stop endorsing a product that produces no results and then you will see a change.

just keep in mind we need and are getting some good recruits which is needed most. fans do need to get off the coach.they're doing the best they can with what they've got. potential recruits can read these things and when a coaching change occurs it gives a green light to those transferring because they can avoid sitting out a year. get my drift? In case you didn't fans are scaring good recruits away from UT and making the coaches job that much more difficult.
