You guys are the reason everyone laughs at Tennessee Football fans. You’re the reason we are hated among all other fans. Fire the coach after one bad game. All the coach firing so far has got us in great position, LOL! We aren’t 90’s Tennessee! We should get back there but not yet or anywhere near yet. Suck it up and dig in you bunch of whiny (expletives). He wasn’t the problem after beating Auburn and Kentucky last year. If this happens year 4 then you may be on too something. Not first game year two

He has been on the job 645 days and has earned over $7M and the outcome is the worst loss in the program history.
Yes a proven winner right there. I mean he was paid by UT and was coaching at bama to help them win a title and that was fine as well

Would you keep him as head coach if Tennessee wins 2 games or less? I think it would be entirely acceptable to fire him then.

Maybe. But it ain't the fans they are laughing at. They are laughing at a Power 5 SEC team losing to a Sunbelt 2-10 team.

Let's see what he does with the next two games. If it's the SOS, he's gone or is a dead coach walking because the stadium will be empty of fans wearing orange and filled with the colors of the opposition. Whose fault is that? It's the bozos who have been hiring these bozos and hoping for something other than a clown show.

How is that good for Tennessee Football again?

1 bad game? Did you miss the Vandy, Mizzu and the 4 other 25+ point losses last year?

I’m starting agree with others on here. Even if you are right I really don’t want to hear it from a gator fan who I GUARANTEE was celebrating our misfortune Saturday. Don’t let the door hit ya in the arse on the way out....

At this point I'm just praying an average BYU team doesn't show up and hang 50 on this squad

I'm pretty sure they laugh at us because we lose home openers to a team that didn't exist 10 years ago. Examine your post before you publish this dumbassery.

Pruitt followed up an absolute embarrassing loss to Vanderbilt with the worst loss in program history, yeah it's the fans fault. Its actually the fault of people who think like you do, who dont demand more out of the program. You will continue to buy the 60 dollar t shirts, the 120 dollar tickets and cheering with passion while to the administration you are no more than a consumer and they dont give a rat's ass about the program or you. They only care about the money, even Fulmer should be considered compromised at this point. Dont tell me how to feel, especially when the ones who should care the most act like they dont have a care in the world. But hey the sun will come up tomorrow, right Jeremy?

Ya gotta admit that was a pretty bad game tho? And worse, it follows the two complete disasters at the end of last season so it looks like a pattern. And it wasnt just that we were screwing around and went to sleep after we were up, etc. GAST simply ran over our Defense with the same play over and over again. That does not bode well. We were expecting to see improvement from the team due to these very high powered, very experienced, very well paid coaches. I understand they have to take a sow's ear and turn it into a silk purse but that is what they are here for.

Weve all seen this story enough to know whats coming. We seen it with dooley, seen it with butch, now its pruitt. Pruitt is clearly in over his head. People are laughing because an sec team with far more talent just lost to a 2-10 sunbelt team at home. And not just lost, got dominated. They were laughing all night during the oklahoma game seeing the headline on the ticker reading "tennessee loses to georgia state, who was a 25 point under dog." and they laugh at fans like you who try to make excuses for it.

Of course I was celebrating about the loss and I am sure you’ll were celebrating when we lost to Georgia southern and went 4-8.

What I do know is that we have been there where we lost to a opponent that we should when won while drunk as a skunk. There were he same arguments that we should give him more time etc, in the end, losing to a team like that should mean automatic firing and not be paid a single cent.
We have been there and see the results

Memphis began their turnaround after firing Porter 2 years in.

Firing after 2 years should be rare exception but we saw it was justified with Dooley (UK) and barring a crazy turnaround Pruitt (GSU). If we go 4-8 or worse this year, recruiting will suck so might as well pull the plug....

"one bad game...?" Vols are 0-3 since the end of last season. Looked awful against Mizzou, worse against Vanderbilt and yet even worse against a pathetic GA State team that didn't have a football program 10 years ago. Look, I am realistic. Pruitt will undoubtedly be here through the end of the 2020 season at least (barring a scandal or him quitting). More likely through the 2021 season. I realize it requires some patience and he has a rebuild ahead, which won't be easy. But there is no excuse. Zero, for the display of "football" we saw on Saturday. A good high school team could beat GA State.

And don't forget the near misses we had last year against far inferior opponents. We were lucky to beat Charlotte. No one realistically expects the team to go toe to toe with SEC powerhouses in year two. But can we not at least field a competent team that plays with some level of intensity? At least act like they are interested? It seems pretty clear to me at least that this team has quit on Pruitt in the last 3 games. If he can't turn that around, he's done, whatever his actual termination date ends up being.

I have updated this post to add: at what point does bad, lethargic and incompetent play stop being an aberration and start being a trend? Yes, there were some bright spots last season against Auburn and KY. But this team has played three really, really poor games in a row now. The loss to MO may be considered more forgivable as it was a match up nightmare against a very talented MO QB. But the Vandy loss? That looked to me like a team quitting. Same with GA State. I am reserving judgment (not like I get a vote with the AD anyway) but I fear things are going to get worse before they get better.
