For those of you who are scared of Mizzou

Yeah I think we'll win this game honestly. I'm just glad we didn't get aTm in our division 'cause they would kick our ass this season. I think if we lose any of these next few games it will be Vandy.

On a side note, didn't Vandy beat the crap out of Missouri?

Vanderbilt won 19-15 after knocking their starting QB out of the game (who was replaced with a RS Fr)

Big Mo was without Franklin for awhile. They are an entirely different team without him.

Problem is they havent played all that well with him either (just they play worse without him)

He was UF's defensive player of the game last weekend

If we had 9' tall WR's that had a 42" vertical, he would have been perfect. It was hard to watch.

It would be hard to hold Dooley accountable for losing to Missouri as he must be looking ahead for the game versus Joker as that surely will determine the SEC COY for this season.

Yeah, seemed that way.

I saw some fans calling for the backup (Beckstresser is it)...but really he doesn't seem all that better after watching the games he was in...

No they had a close game. But Georgia and South Carolina thumped them. And they beat Central Florida by 5. Not too worried about it

I remember the same take before the Mss. State game and the Troy game. It doesn't matter who they played if we can't stop them. Unfortunately, I will be shocked if UT wins these next 3 games with this defense. 700 yards to Troy and wouldn't suprise me one bit if they give up that to Mizzou for back to back games at home.

Many want our redshirt, Maty Mauk. Kid is supposed to be a good one. Set the HS national record for yardage. But I hope we dont burn his Redshirt, this season is shot.

Exactly! Even in the worst years under Fulmer the defense was still one of the best in the league. If LSU kicks two fgs instead
of Les always trying to live up to that mad hatter crap, then they have a 9 point lead with under 2 minutes.

Alabama escaped pure and simple

So, basically, if we can keep them under 800 yards total offense, that should be a moral victory for us.

Under 700 indicates Dooley is improving and needs more time.

I'll be Honest. I think they kick our Tail! Dooley is toast. Sal has no Clue. We are not going to fix the same problems we had this past Saturday. This staff has proven they just don't know how!

Another nail hitter. We haven't fixed the "same" problem all year.

All i can say is as bad as our defense is playing thank God Bray and company can put points on the board against ho-hum teams. The difference will be turnovers and kicking game, we will score points in these last 3 games. The real guessing game is how much we will give up and how many mistakes will we make. All said and done that is what it will come down to.

I get the feeling DGB will look like Jerry Rice against our defense in this game.

The MO fans would probably tell you it'd be a welcome change; he's done little to nothing most of the year playing the #3 WR spot

He's more or less just been a recognizable name and that's it this year

I'll be at the game ... but I have zero confidence in our defense.

They haven't demonstrated they can stop any pass play, and that's Mizzou's strength.

Franklin is not the same quarterback he was before the injury, he looks scared alot of the time out there. Our real problem has been our offensive line. We have only a couple starters starting at their original spots, 1 true freshman and a walk-on have started as well. Its hard for any quarterback to do anything when the DLine can get through easily all game long. But, our line did play well against Florida last week, so they're getting better, it seems. Franklin lost the game for us in Florida, plain and simple. He had the shoulder surgery and wasnt 100% and then went and injured his knee, so his throws are horrible.

Good to get a view on the matter from the actual fanbase being discussed :)

That is what worries me. He is their #3. How do we think our #3 cover guy will do against him? :eek:lol:

I think we should be worried.

That is because our quarterback and offensive line not being able to let a play develop IMO. and our play call has been horrid. At Fla, we got the ball to him much more, and he did very well. He did have an 80 yard TD run though, but there is no reason we shouldnt be trying to get him the ball more. I expect that to change, (well, hopefully)

Mizzou scares me to death. They have enough speed & deception to score a lot of points. There defense is pretty good & their linebackers play very smart. I live here in Missouri & have some friends close to the university. Franklin's knee (mcl) is a lot worse than advertised. He can't plant the left foot when he throws. That is why last week his balls were sailing 6 yards over the intended receiver. Pinkel feels a hurt Franklin is better than the alternative.
