I have seen numerous posts that point to only one NC for UT and for that instance you are wrong. I would suggest learning about the school you pull for.

We have a proud tradition and if you are too ignorant to acknowledge this then its on you. For those of you that only see 98 as our Lone Championship grow up and take a ride in our traditions and trust CJP will get us back. Number 2 in the SEC in NC's. Let's get back to our rightful place!

Good luck.
There’s a whole bunch of schools that won national champships in the past. Now they are also rans i.e. ga. Tech, ,minn, s.m.u., Pitt., Syracuse, Miami, etc. we are now at that point. Can it be turned around?

I'm just glad there there are several NC's. My spousal unit is a Michigan fan and they have won exactly 1 half of a NC in their history!!

Alabama was one of those until Saban got there.

You people kill me. You act like UT is a steppping stone for upstart programs. We need to get back to where we belong and if you cant see this then so be it, but UT is a proud program and we should realize that.

Dude! Lol, I swear I meant that with all my heart. I thought it was brave, considering this crowd.

Yes we should get back to where we used to be based on our...(check notes)...1938 national championship season?

Yes it can. All it takes is a good coach, and CJP is it. Tennessee is nowhere near the point of the programs you listed.

I mean, that's great. But you'd have to be in your early to mid-70s to have any recollection of Tennessee's second-most recent national title. Tennessee has a fine tradition, but it's way past the point where it can be considered "rightful" to expect titles.

I love our history and the fact that those Natty's build such a proud fanbase and a top tier program. That wont change. The problem is that we currently have a 2nd or 3rd tier team with the 1st tier aspirations and expectations. I think that CJP and CPF may be the right combination to get us back there. As long as we, as a fan base, stay behind them our time will come. The top teams usually come and go, and we are on the upswing.

We are just like Minnesota and Pitt now. Tennessee football is dead. I’m not sure what you see in CJP but more power to you.

Programs die when they lose the support of school administrators, let facilities age to some of the worst in the country, and ultimately alienate the fan base. That is what happened in Minnesota. Like I said, Tennessee is nowhere near that point.
