I'll be driving down from Nashville for the long drive on New Year's Day. Gonna try to make the drive early so that I have enough time to watch the good bowl games that day.

Would much rather fly, but it's too expensive on short notice.

Stop in savannah if you want to break it up. Cool place

Driving down. Called today and used some marriott points to get a FREE NIGHT stay just west of downtown. I'm splitting gas with my sons (UT students) and I found a $40 ticket on stub hub and pulled the trigger on that singleton..

I think i'm going to get to see a Big11 Beatdown for on the cheap. HA HA.

Leaving Maryville early on 31st driving straight thru with quick stop in Marietta to pick up a buddy. We had a cheap room downtown but have now decided to do the beach thing.

Driving down with my son on the 1st as early as we can get on the road and returning on Saturday. I think we'll be staying at the Hawthorne Suites about 8 miles from the stadium. Looked decent and at $70/night couldn't beat the price.

For those who wish to fly out of Chattanooga on the 30th
Check Allegiant Air Allegiant Air 149.00 round trip right now
to the Sanford Orlando Airport..The best golden nugget for travel to Orlando that a lot of people do not know about..Airport is about as big as Chattanooga without all the hassle and crap you deal with at Orlando International Airport..And it is only 2 hours from the stadium..(Only 10 minutes from our casa as well!) They also fly to Jacksonville but fares may be more expensive. A couple of other options for VolNation invasion

https://maps.yahoo.com/directions/?..., 1 Everbank Field Dr, Jacksonville, FL 32202

People in these cities can take advantage of the lower fares and easier in and out access of that airport

Going by boat from Beaufort, SC to St Augustine City Marina a few days before. Then driving to Jacksonville from there. Will be living on the boat there the month of January.

And if you take bed bugs back you'll be wishing you had spent a little more haha

I have stayed in some total dumps in my 32 years on this Earth and never got bed bugs. I think I repel them or something. I've been all over the United States and stayed at some dirt cheap motels to save money on travel expenses. I don't want to jinx myself and get bedbugs one day though.
