Road trip to Knoxville to pick up a buddy. Than on to Jacksonville. All on the 1st.

I'm gonna take the easy way. Drive from SW Florida on the first, stay overnight, watch the game on the second, stay all night and leave the next day. Hey, it's my Christmas present! :thud::)

GO VOLS!

That is going to be a tough trip volly. IIRC, you are in Chattanooga. Have you thought about spending one night in Jacksonville and one night midway. That should save several dollars. Rates should be much cheaper in the middle of GA vs Jacksonville.

We went to Orlando this summer that is what are did.

Yep. We're in Chattanooga. When we went to Jacksonville for the reunion cruise in September we left our house at 5am and got to the port at noon. Not sure what traffic is going to be like going down there. I like your suggestion. We may do that.

Going to be at the in-laws for holidays in Hinesville/ Ft. Stewart Ga. Only 90 minute drive from game. When I heard we were going to be in Jax I went crazy and immediately bought tickets.

I have been looking at flights tonight, I have Amex reward points that I can use, but that would only cover the flights for me and wife. Still considering it though. For those of you who have booked hotels, where are you staying?

Radisson off Butler blvd still has rooms around 90 a night...that's where the wife and I decided on, there may still be some downtown but they are running over 250+ a night

Drive down, stay in a hot sheet motel, spend the money saved on fine dining. :) All rooms look the same when the lights are off.

Was going had a room at the Hyatt on the water. My manager informs me today that he is taking that day and we cannot be off on the same day. He isn't even going, just screwing me.

You look a little flushed. Hope you're not coming down with something.

From tricities. Driving part of the way down on the 29th (only 8 hour drive but 7-8 month old) and arriving on the 30th. Staying in a small condo near the beach for the wife and me and the 7 year old boy going to the game Friday. Driving home on Saturday the 3rd and winging it on whether or not we need another hotel on the way back for the little one. Vacation/ballgame combo! Going to need it after 4 straight days and nights of work the 25-28th.

Win-win for wife, me, and kids! Wasn't going to make it to Liberty on 29th cause wouldn't be off work in time and in a coma after 4 straight but now the whole family is PUMPED! Plenty of UT games, first Bowl Game!
