Smart and Pruitt are both very skilled at screwing up quarterback play. They just go about it differently. When quarterbacks transfer from these schools they suddenly excel..... either at Ohio State, Memphis, Pittsburgh, and now probably Colorado.

I'm not sure how many games the 98 teams defense could win if JG was the quarterback for it.

I don’t want to argue with you but you’re wrong. BM had 70 attempts over a 4 game span in games he was prepared to play in. 2 of those games he played just over a quarter (concussion) and one of those games he was pulled at halftime. To have 70 attempts in such a short amount of playing time speaks to the opposite of your claim. In fact, out of those 70 attempts only TWO were thrown into dbl coverage (Miss St).

My point is everyone is judging him based on what they seen when he was thrown in (cold) in games not tailored to his style of play in 2019 and ONE game vs Arkansas (also thrown in cold) in 2020 where he had two deaths in the family within 48 hours of game time and facing a 0 blitz without a passing plan. Impossible odds

Georgia has recruited so much talent in the last 10 years and still have not won a National Championship oh football since Herschel Walker played for them. Which all that wasted talent, many SEC teams would have won Championships were Georgia failed.

Pretty sure they won more than 3 games this year and if Fields tranferred here - Pruitt would have had him behind JG. Smart was choosing between a really really good qb and a potentially great one. I won't comment on Pruitt's insistance to start JG. Let's just say it wasn't a good decision.

Fromm led them to the national championship game. He outdueled Baker Mayfield in the semifinals.Their miniscule QB woes aren't remotely close to the parking lot of the ballpark of our QB issues. With all due respect, this is an extremely weak analogy. Can't hardly believe you spent the time writing this nonsense. Hang in there

I’d rather fail while winning 11 games and going to SEC CG and occasional playoff game. Even the best teams not named Bama, Clemson and one year wonder LSU last year, need a ton of luck to win it all. We’d be talking about 1951 if not for ARK fumble.

I don't particularly care for the use of the term "hopeless" but your post is pretty much spot on.

The whole JG gives of the best chance to win argument was Pruitt deciding 24 points was enough in the SEC because that's the max JG offers and he would turn it over to the defense to win games. Both ideas were failures.

If you read through my previous posts, Salter and Bailey are prospects. Smart has had productive quarterbacks at Georgia. From top to bottom and wasn’t afraid to play them. It’s not hard.
