So that should make us feel better. That Kirby is a bigger dumbass by a minuscule bit.At least he has not bungled the QB position the way that Coach Kirby Smart has done at Georgia. He stuck with Fromm too long without realizing his limited ceiling and leaving Fields on the bench (costing GA a national championship). He never tailored the system to match Field's ability. Fields transferred and has become a top 5 QB draft prospect. If CKS had made the move to play Fields over Fromm, GA probably would have won a national championship, and they probably would be playing for one this year. This year, he kept playing Stetson Bennett for too long and cost them a few games when he had a star in JT Daniels sitting on the bench.
So just to summarize, CJP is not the only one going through QB issues. Even a program like GA has their issues with QB and one could argue that they have handled their situation worse that us.
Nothing is worse than starting JG for three years and thus watching him almost singlehandedly ruin the entire team. No one in their right mind would start him as long as JP did. They should have realized after 2018 that he was hopeless. We all saw it. Maybe some felt he gave us a better chance to win at times because we had a bunch of freshman backing him up, but you have to ensure you have SOMEBODY better than JG after what you saw in 2018. To just have two freshman backing him up is malpractice and those freshman were still able to play as well or better than him at times when he was a redshirt senior. He cost us the GA State BYU games. The fumble at Bammer. Almost cost us the Indiana game. Then we know what has happened this year.
He should have never saw the field again after the Bammer debacle and all his attention should have gone to Shrout and Maurer and then Bailey heading into this year.
Anybody who watches football could tell JG didn't have it years ago. Even girls who don't know diddly from squat about football could see it.
Any good coach would have stopped at nothing to make sure he had at least an average QB. But he was hoping JG MIGHT be able to manage the offense well enough in the SEC. How about no JP. Let's not throw Jarrett GuaranteedCatastrophe out there when your defense isn't good enough to do everything.
I'm not sure how many games the 98 teams defense could win if JG was the quarterback for it.
I don’t want to argue with you but you’re wrong. BM had 70 attempts over a 4 game span in games he was prepared to play in. 2 of those games he played just over a quarter (concussion) and one of those games he was pulled at halftime. To have 70 attempts in such a short amount of playing time speaks to the opposite of your claim. In fact, out of those 70 attempts only TWO were thrown into dbl coverage (Miss St).If making “least mistakes” is making terrible decisions and constantly putting the ball in harms way then your correct. In picking between JG, JTS, and BM CJP was picking the least of three evils. Still chosing an evil, but the least.
Georgia has recruited so much talent in the last 10 years and still have not won a National Championship oh football since Herschel Walker played for them. Which all that wasted talent, many SEC teams would have won Championships were Georgia failed. At least he has not bungled the QB position the way that Coach Kirby Smart has done at Georgia. Pretty sure they won more than 3 games this year and if Fields tranferred here - Pruitt would have had him behind JG. Smart was choosing between a really really good qb and a potentially great one. I won't comment on Pruitt's insistance to start JG. Let's just say it wasn't a good decision. At least he has not bungled the QB position the way that Coach Kirby Smart has done at Georgia. Fromm led them to the national championship game. He outdueled Baker Mayfield in the semifinals.Their miniscule QB woes aren't remotely close to the parking lot of the ballpark of our QB issues. With all due respect, this is an extremely weak analogy. Can't hardly believe you spent the time writing this nonsense. Hang in thereAt least he has not bungled the QB position the way that Coach Kirby Smart has done at Georgia. I’d rather fail while winning 11 games and going to SEC CG and occasional playoff game. Even the best teams not named Bama, Clemson and one year wonder LSU last year, need a ton of luck to win it all. We’d be talking about 1951 if not for ARK fumble.Georgia has recruited so much talent in the last 10 years and still have not won a National Championship oh football since Herschel Walker played for them. I like BMs upside. Somebody just needs to tell him that MPH doesn’t matter as much as accuracy.I don’t want to argue with you but you’re wrong. My point is everyone is judging him based on what they seen when he was thrown in (cold) in games not tailored to his style of play in 2019 and ONE game vs Arkansas (also thrown in cold) in 2020 where he had two deaths in the family within 48 hours of game time and facing a 0 blitz without a passing plan. Impossible odds
If you read through my previous posts, Salter and Bailey are prospects. Smart has had productive quarterbacks at Georgia. From top to bottom and wasn’t afraid to play them. It’s not hard.Lol. Pruitt got Bailey and Salter to UT. Not making a case either way just really have no idea what your point is.
