John Ward no doubt has made the best calls ever and miss him greatly. Kesling doesn't know football broadcasts.

John Ward was one of a kind. Sadly, there will never be another. My best days ever were listening to his words, Football or Hoops, both equally great.
Lets hope Dooley/Martin/Kesling can be part of some great new memories in the not too distant future.

2 greatest games I've ever seen in person in my life in Neyland Stadium.....beating Florida and dancing in the endzone as the VolNation ripped down the goal posts....and this one which I simply call "The Greatest Fumble in Neyland Stadium"....

YouTube - Stumbled and Fumbled

Without that one moment God knows how long we go without a National Championship...the stadium was more energized after that fumble than when the Florida kicker shanked that FG.

Kesling is better than some of the other sec broadcasters I've heard

One of my all time favorites because of the location and importance. Who would have thought a team that could do this would flame out the next week against LSU. However, on a positive note, if we win another NC we probably still have Fulmer around and could never get rid of him. So, in hindsight, that loss to LSU was undoubtedly a good thing because Fulmer is now gone.

What? Losing to LSU was good?

The outcome of the LSU game had no bearing on UT winning a NC. They wouldn't have won it either way. The '01 Miami team that they would have faced was arguably the most dominant college football team of my lifetime. Almost every starter on that team spent some time in the NFL. No chance in hell Tennessee would have beat them.

Probably not. However, I still think it would have been even harder than it was to eliminate Fulmer if he had been in a second NC game and had won another SEC championship. Look how hard it was and the guy hadn't won anything since '98.

That Miami team was very good and would have won anyway, but I am certain TN would have played them a much better game than Neb.

It's almost that time again, folks!!!!! IT'S ALMOST FOOTBALL TIME IN TENNESSEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm beyond excited!!!!

I received a tremendous response to my This is Tennessee - Requiem video. I've gotten many messages urging me to make a new video. My response to each of them has been the same. Requiem was the video I had always wanted to make - an intense, epic, emotional collaboration of Tennessee clips put in time to one of the most driving orchestral compositions ever made - Requiem for a Tower. I never thought that, creatively speaking, I could ever top it with another one...until now!

I have come across a pretty epic orchestral musical piece (from a movie trailer, I might add) that I think could give Requiem a run for its money (not that I make any off of these videos - HAHAHA!). I may need to tweak it to make it longer, but the creative juices are flowing! I practically had to force myself to focus on driving on the way to work, because I was so lost in the inspiration.

I'm gonna try my hardest, and we'll see what happens. Senior year at UT is about to start for me, and on top of that, I'm working, so it may be difficult. Until then, thanks SO MUCH to everyone who has re-posted, commented, and messaged me about Requiem.

As always,
GO VOLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My videos (from most recent to oldest):

This is Tennessee - Requiem

This is Tennessee - Fearless (From here back, some of these videos are a lot of the same clips put to different music - early days of video making - haha!)

Tennessee Football: A Dynasty's Collection (note the referee tripping in the Arkansas clip...and the corny ending...ugh...no telling how old I was when I made this video)

This is Tennessee - Part 1 This is Tennessee - Part 2

this is my favorite tennessee video.
YouTube - Al Wilson and Leonard Little

Awesome clips...

My very favorite two players in Vol History....Little and Wilson were just a defensive fan's Line backer dream. They were just LETHAL behind the line. You see video of Al quite a bit, (and deservedly so) but I love to see Little too. Even when we'd be losing that guy would play at a high energy level consistancy every minute of the game....he didn't seem to ever turn it off.

Even that year we got our butt handed to us by Nebraska in the post season, the rest of team was walking with a limp by halftime. NOT Leonard Little, unable to get around them, he polevaulted himself over a lineman like some ancient Minoan Bull dancer....and sacked the QB......no one told him the game was over. Leonard Little was a QB Assassin!!! I don't think anyone hit QB's harder at UT except Doug Atkins....

Wilson and Little DEFINE hardcore Vol football. Greatest duo ever.

Everyone's always focused on the Offense. But it's defenses that usually make the difference that win Titles.

(Sigh) Since Little left the closest I can get to that kind of pure predatary skill excitement is watching lions take down gazelle.....and the Lions could use Little's input on how it's done.

Forgot about that block #27 threw on that defensive TD against Florida.

That fumble he caused against Florida though made a magical season.
