Bob Kesling would sound the same if a run went for three yards or a C130 crashed into the stadium. I hate when they play other teams radio calls during games. Those guys sound like they sucked up all the coke in the world before going on air. Kesling got all the horse tranquilizers.

When he yells "cheggerboards", it sounds like he's gargling gravy.

I miss Bill Anderson too. I used t love listening to the games on the radio as a kid. Ward painted a great picture and you knew something good had happened before he told you because you could hear the crowd going nuts..... Even as an elementary kid I pictured Anderson enjoying several adult beverages in the booth. ...... I really miss those guys

Wow I wish John ward was still alive and on the radio. All I've ever heard are clips but the pure passion and love for Tennessee just shines in the way he calls the games.

I'll never forget when Kenny did a tribute song to him. I was 9 years old and I can remember crying my eyes out because he was leaving. I am only 26, but my first game was when I was 6 months old. (They made my dad buy me a ticket: the big orange screw job). I remember as a child watching old tapes with my dad. He recorded every single game on VHS (now fully converted to DVD thanks to me.) I remember watching every tape from 1986-2007 the year I converted them. One of my fondest memories of the 98' season was watching us beat UK and my dad muted the TV and we listened to JW. Truly a legend.
