Coach Jones seems to be a man that is very classy in his speech. I have never heard him throw one of his players under the bus. He always brings a positive message. Yes. Nothing short of turning or program that was in the tank into a winning program again. he has endured endless and tireless insults from both Vol fans and media alike. My question to you is what has he ever done to deserve such sorry negative Vibes that he gets and words that he gets from you people?
Is it because he hasn't won the way you want him to win? I have seen many of your post that says winning solves everything and yet he wins and you still complain!
We should have learned her lesson from how it turned out with Coach Fulmer. He was a proven winner probably the greatest coach Tennessee is ever had, and yet many were not satisfied with him. Now we have a winner coach with a winning attitude that the players love and yet you're not satisfied with him. My question to you is there going to be anybody that is ever going to meet your lofty expectations? We have a very good shot at winning the East this year. Regardless of what you think of the players that coach Jones have they do not know the meaning of the word quit!
One thing for sure is if you have a defeated attitude and a chicken little syndrome you will be miserable your whole life. No one will ever be good enough for you I would hate to be some of y'all spouses. I wonder if your children are good enough for you or your jobs good enough for you or your boss is good enough for you or do you know better than every one of them too? Enough of my rant you can let it fly I really don't care go Vols!!!! 1 and 0 baby!!!!!!!
P.s people that belittle others and make fun of people and try to tear them down and try to make themselves look big at others expenses suck!!!!!!

I've been nothing but supportive and complimentary this morning....but I'm getting tired of being told how I should feel, and admonished to love and respect a football coach.

There is room for divergent opinions, and the fact that I may have a different one than you should not be an affront to you personally.

Before I state my opinion on this thread, I'd like you to please explain: what "negative vibes" do you not like? What do you think is said on here that is unwarranted? Specifics, please.

Why is it those who consider themselves "posi-vols" are always the ones posting the most inflammatory posts? Doesn't seem very positive to me.

I read a bunch on this site, and I sometimes wonder how many of you actually played college football. I bet most just sat in the stands in high school, or rode the bench and complained about everything. Some of you just need to relax and watch the game and support the team. They will be better this year. You play a triple option team who runs 96 plays and tell me how tired you would be on defense. I swear some of you just need to let the game play out and support the team.

So you had to play college football to have the ability to know that if qbs continually set records against you, your defense probably inst good? Interesting

How about constant ridicule and disrespect and being made fun of about everything he says and does! I am of the persuasion that a person should at the least show others a little courtesy and respect no matter who they are!

Get over it people! the game is over, UT won, beat a team that went 3-0 against the SEC last year. Option Football is tough to adjust to. New QB, two senior WRs out, UT found a way. Heart attack Team.........that is what they are, better to win ugly than to lose badly.

Go Vols!

I've been perhaps one of the biggest voices calling for patience in judging Jones. However, I think criticism is due here and patience is VERY quickly wearing thin from my perspective.

He had all off-season to develop and implement a game plan against GaTech and failed miserably. He and the defensive staff were absolutely helpless against Tech, and it took a series of minor miracles for us to eek out a W in 2xOT.

The time for Butch to feel the heat is here.
