I know that Sept. 5 is still/merely a month away, but I have a quandary that I beseech the good people of VolNation for assistance with.

I'm a Vols fan. Always have been, always will be. My problem is that I'm nowhere near Knoxville, or even Tennessee for that matter. Therefore, I am unable to watch any Vols game (other than Sept. 19th, and any other nationally televised games, fwiw). Does anyone know of a radio station, available online, that will be streaming Vols games all season?? This would work in a pinch, because no matter where I go, there should be Internet access, and I can at least listen to our beloved Volunteers.

Thanks in advance, and GO BIG ORANGE!

That is the local Knoxville radio station and they always air the game.

I believe once the Vol Network coverage airs you can't listen to it online anymore from their website...contract conflicts I guess

Yes. You couldn't listen to any of the Vol Network stuff on there last year.

I'd recommend that the original poster get ESPN Gameplan. You'll see almost all the games.

Also with the new ESPN SEC deal, your going to see more and more games on ESPN and not just your regional games if I'm not mistaken.

I'd get Gameplan, but it's really expensive. And with having the very real possibility of deploying......at least there's the Net, ya know??

Most games are available live on either channelsurfing.net or espn360.com. That's video, not just audio, but you need a pretty good connection speedwise.

I am sure I am completely wrong but I thought with the new SEC ESPN deal. All but one of every SEC teams football game will be shown on one of the ESPN channels(hence why ESPNU in now free on Direct TV) and the only one game for each team will be a pay per view.

Also, the new SEC digital network will have the games available almost immediately after the game, kind of like On Demand.

espn360 is now available to comcast internet users. Someone mentioned channelsurfing.net, that's a good one as is Justin.tv

ESPN Gameplan does blackout some regional games. For example, if you are in the Tennessee market, any ppv games will not be shown on gameplan, if you are outside the market, they will be shown.

I suggest, if you can't find it online - go find a nice bar to hang out at.

Sirius/XM reserves channels 199-202 for SEC games. I listen to the radio web application they provide for $2 per month.

All right, here's the solution. Buy a Slingbox. Give it to a friend and hook it up to his TV. Tell him to use it all he wants as long as it's understood that you're turning it to the UT game thirteen times a year. Then it doesn't matter where you are.

This will work best if you give it to somebody who has Gameplan but does not live in the state of Tennessee, because then any PPV games will be included at no extra charge. I think there's only been one UT game in the last five or six years that I haven't been able to see on TV if I didn't make it up to Knoxville.

Usually dont see a lot of "cool" Sports Bars when one is "Deployed"

Dude I went to school with used something called "Slingbox" to watch TV via his computer when he studied abroad in Ireland. I don't know a lot about it (I would google it for more info), so I'm not sure if it lets you get games or such from certain markets. I think it is tethered to your home cable box (or at least, it has that capability, but doesn't have to be?).

Not sure, but it might be worth checking out.
