ESPN has given grades for the SEC basketball recruiting. I'm not an insider so all I was able to see was that Kentucky received an A+.

Since this is new, I'm just curious what ESPN thinks of CDT's recruiting.

Appreciate the help.

Tennessee

New coach Donnie Tyndall has done a good job in a short time in adding some of the best available players to his roster. Shooting guard Detrick Mostella is a four-star performer who attacks off the bounce and finishes at the rim. Power forward Jabari McGhee is an athletic forward with a good motor who can rebound, finish and block some shots, and shooting guard Kevin Punter Jr. is a junior college transfer who brings playmaking ability to the perimeter. Tyndall also added 6-foot-5 junior college shooting guard Devon Baulkman and 6-7 power forward Willie Carmichael.

Might as well ask the follow up question....SEC ranking...Auburn ahead or behind.
Never mind 11th.

Good now I can buy that "my team is on the recruiting honor roll" bumper sticker I've been wanting.

If we get Owens, we might still be in the upper half of the SEC next season. :crossfingers:

It appears their entire class de-committed as well, and so far only Kingsley Okoroh has committed as far as rankable players.

The other player Zo has landed is a transfer from Georgetown who averaged 5 minutes per game as a freshman and 4 as a sophomore with a career scoring average of .75 points per game and .5 boards per game rebounding average, while shooting 21 percent from the field and 11 percent from 3.

I wonder what the grade would have been under CCM and his 4 recruits. I would be surprised if it was above a C.

You failed to mention that Stephen Domingo was a 4* consensus top 70 player who reclassified and went to G. Town after his junior year of high school, which turned out to be a bad idea. A year of sitting on the bench should help make him a better player.

I mentioned what was relevant. His time at an actual Div 1 college was...unremarkable to say the least. After all, don't we often hear how bad Woolridge was and that we can't pay attention to his 4 star ranking from high school. Granted, Woolridge through his sophomore year looked like Michael Jordan compared to this guy, but it is what it is.

He had more DNP's than points scored as a sophomore at Georgetown. He's made 11 shots total in his college career and appeared to get less playing time and get worse in every aspect of the game his sophomore year.

This looks pretty much like the Div 1 transfer equivalent of Pops in SF form.

With all the turnover we had, there's no way they would rank us very high. How UGA always ends up so bad is beyond me!! No excuse. All they have to do is get 1-2 out of ATL every year & they're set, but no one seems to be able to do that. 😄😃😀

Yes, because pops was a consensus top 70 player who played for the U-17 U.S. national team and is still only 19 years old. Domingo would have been a take for U.T. if U.T. would have been in the running.

Pops was a player who didn't play or score for his team. Much like this fellow. I did see that Zo was in on some other diamonds in the rough though. Looks like Cal fans are getting a good dose of reality.
