For comparison sake....look at how Florida got Urban Meyer

I post this link because I've talked to several UT friends of mine, point being you have to strike first or you could miss out on the guy you want. If we had waited to reach out to Meyer through contacts or directly to Meyer himself until weeks after we fired Zook, he would have been at Notre Dame and never been the Florida head coach.

As Jeremy Foley always said "What should be done eventually, should be done immediately."

Whoever is your #1 guy, if they have made the decision to get rid of Dooley, needs to already be on the hook or his hand forced so UT can move.

i actually enjoyed that read. I cant stand anything about the florida program but i will admit one thing, foley is a damn good AD. His work ethic is why florida is in the shape its in
