Tennessee is posting for their offensive coordinator position. It's a very common practice. I'm still baffled why so many found it funny. here's the link:

NCAA:Career Center

Notice the 5 years of OC experience at the D1 level or comparable experience required line. Continues to give me hope.

Edit: It's also posted on the UTK jobsite.

i THINK you meant to say UT was posting for the OC position, not the head coach...but, we can dream, cant we.:lolabove:

I wonder if they are required to post the job publicly? As screwy as it may seem, it's a state job.

ding ding. Most schools are. Even most private schools have requirements built in that make it mandatory. It's the reason Duke posted their HC job. You might be interested to know UT is also in the market for an Associate AD. Mississippi has about every job related to football open for now and posted. Even "suit" jobs. They evidently completely cleaned house with their football program.

edit: I went back and looked and all the Mississippi jobs have been filled. But they were open last week.

Does anyone know where the annual (college coaches association) or whatever it is called, meeting is this year? I am willing to bet, Phil is waiting on that to meet with a couple assistants....Because we all know as soon as somebody flies into Knoxville everyone knows it...

I think it's in San Antonio but don't know for sure

Hat would probably know...

I don't know where it's at, but Fulmer has even said he's waiting until after that meeting. For some reason I want to say it's in Cali this year.

You may be right, I am sure its going to be sunny and warm wherever it is....I would like to be a fly on the wall to see who he approaches....Was listening to Doug Matthews on the way home today and he said that Phillip has about 12-15 names that he is sorting through right now....He wouldnt ellaborate on them, but all he said is 3 of them would be exciting coaches in Knoxville....Wonder who those 3 are?

Yeah your probably overly qualified. Just that whole "Highschool Diploma" thing probably eliminates you though. Tough luck eh?

Its the standard Jargon that goes into it so that every coach in the free world will not apply for the job.... Hatcher would qualify because of his experience at a comparable level... and especially if UT calls him...
