O ya cuz we'll win a bunch of games if we dont. Weve got UGA and BAMA the next two games. Try doing nothing but run it on them and see where that gets us. You have to be able to throw it. Unless youre UT and playing UK with a WR at QB.

Don't think Dobbs can throw the ball and this season is going down the drain fast. Why don't the Vols take a look at the 2nd string QB?

I agree! Butch let the damn fans get in his head! We were gashing them and went all pass happy! We suck at passing right now!
Should have played similar to 1st quarter and Florida and we coulda won!
Oh well hope we keep it together. We're still only 7 points from being 5-0.
If thry'll keep playing hard we can surprise somebody!

That was my thought. Except that I have never thought Dobbs was any good at all. Not last year. Not. This year. Not ever. Butch's biggest mistake is the fact he continues to go with him after 2 seasons.

This loss had nothing to do with trying to open it up. We are at our best when Dobbs runs it, tonight he had 5 carries. We dropped some passes, ex. Williams let a great throw go thru his hands. If we mix Dobbs run with Hurd runs and then pass it we have an offense. Unfortunately our play calling is inconsistent as hell.

Wasn't it a gutsy move on Jones' part though, opening the game up when he knew full well he probably lacked the on field horsepower to get the job done. I would think most of VN would be appreciative.:dunno:

This is what happens when you have a qb that can't throw. I can't throw past five yards Dobbs is the biggest problem with this football team. It's embarrassing that he hasn't improved with our coaches

I wanted them to open it up, but that was also when I thought cbj should've hired one of tcu's co-ocs.(can't remember the guy's name)

Dobbs - athlete playing quaterback

The passing was fine to smith and wolfe. Should have called that more!

Hindsight is 20/20 is all I have to say. HINDSIGHT IS 20/20. This needs to sink in to a bunch of vol fans.

Seems like the reason we hadn't been throwing the ball much in the first four games was because Dobbs is not that accurate of a passer (which seemed evident in the Arkansas game). Seems like we're in for a long year if Dobbs can't hit open guys, because running the ball every down on Alabama, Georgia, and even Mizzou will not work.
