And so do I - may all the Vol Nation enjoy family and friends as we celebrate the rise from the dead of our blessed Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.

The single most important event in the history of the world. Jesus was resurrected from the dead. Why do you seek the living among the dead? For any doubters, Jesus not only appeared to His disciples but appeared to over 500 people at once after His resurrection. I don't know about you, but I'm putting my faith in the guy who came back from the dead!

The easter egg is offensive to me as a true Christian. The bunny and egg are secular and take away from the values of Christ.

Yeah, but all things are lawful to you. It's like when people started divisions and got easily offended over eating meat sacrificed to idols, the Lord basically said just keep the peace and don't worry about it because I'm not mad at ya for it. Otherwise we'd have to leave this world altogether to escape people doing things around us that could be deemed offensive.

Buried my mother yesterday, but rejoice in our Savior today. He is risen indeed.

I grew up in the Church of Christ and they never made a big deal out of Easter. It was secular Easter for us. Now that I think back on it, I find it strange they don't

Because we don't want to show preference on one Lord's day over the others. We take it that we should be grateful and thankful for His birth, death, burial, and resurrection every day, not just Easter. Christmas is viewed as the same way, imo. My :twocents: fwiw.
